Pearl Jam Re-Issues Debut Album Ten With 4 Different Special Edition Packages

This announcement has The Blot all kinds of excited. As you all know by now, The Blot is obsessed with Pearl Jam. They’ve been my favorite band since I first heard Ten way back in 1991 (as a sprout 12 year old I might add). According to PearlJam.com, “the reissue of Ten serves as the launch of a planned two-year catalogue re-release campaign leading up to the band’s 20th anniversary in 2011.” (link) There will be four different special edition packages of the Ten re-issue, each with a different price and a corresponding number of extras included.

The four Ten re-issue special edition packages will hit stores on March 24, 2009 but for all you die hard fans you can pre-order the 2008 Ten Super Deluxe Edition here for $140.00 (which includes free shipping anywhere in the U.S.). It’s the largest of the four deluxe editions and includes everything they could come up with. While I’d love to get my hands on one of these bad boys, the price is a little much for me. I think I’ll just be going for the Deluxe Edition, which also includes a DVD of Pearl Jam’s previously unreleased 1992 MTV Unplugged performance. I’ve been dying for a legit copy of their Unplugged performance for years and won’t be passing up on a chance to finally own it!

G.I. Joe Mighty Muggs Wave 1 In Package Photos

Continuing my series of no real new Mighty Muggs news posts, I thought I’d share pictures of Hasbro’s G.I. Joe Mighty Muggs Wave 1 in their multi-colored window packaging. Although the boxes for the Mighty Muggs line of collectible vinyl figures are pretty basic, I think they did a great job with them nonetheless. I love the way they did the face of the characters on the top of each box and the way the figure’s body is split on each corner. It’s simple and yet effective.

G.I. Joe Mighty Muggs Wave 1 - Storm Shadow Mighty Mugg in Package
The biggest question I have about this new line of Mighty Muggs is when did Hasbro decide to start giving figures two accessories!?! I know Star Wars’ Asajj Ventress came with two lightsabers and I can understand Snake Eyes coming with both a gun and a sword, but now even Cobra Commander is getting two accessories, a cape and a gun. It really ticks me off because my Lando Calrissian only came with a cape! Lando needs (and deserves) a gun! I guess I’ll just have to take Cobra Commander’s gun and pretend it’s a Star Wars blaster.

G.I. Joe Mighty Muggs Wave 1 - Duke Mighty Mugg in Package
G.I. Joe Mighty Muggs Wave 1 consists of Duke, Cobra Commander, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. These awesome designer vinyl figures can be found in stores now and should retail for somewhere between $9.99 and $20.

Kidrobot sure knows how to start off the New Year with a bang. This week they announced a brand new series of 3” Dunnys would be coming out on January 22nd. The Ye Olde English Dunny Series features some of the hottest artists from the UK and is sure to have fans scrambling to collect the set’s 17 blind boxed 3 inch vinyl figures, which also includes 2 chase figures. The only downside to this series is the increased price. A blind box will now cost collectors $7.95 a figure.

For all the Dunny collectors out there The Blot is excited to share the UK Series’ ratios, which you can check out in the photo below. From the numbers here, it looks like it shouldn’t be too hard to collect the entire series! Without having seen the two chase figures yet, I have to say I think the Rain Man Dunny is my favorite so far with Doktor A’s figure coming at a close second. Anyone else picked out their favorite UK Dunny yet?
