Fortune 8 Inch Dunny & SDCC 09 Exclusive Luck 8 Inch Dunny by Mr. Shane Jessup

The Blot has been hesitant to discuss Kidrobot’s San Diego Comic Con 2009 exclusives because the company had not released any photos of the actual figures. All we’ve known for a few weeks now is that there would be three exclusives by Mr. Shane Jessup, Deph and a collaboration between Amanda Visell and Frank Kozik. Well all that changed today because "for the first time in over 3 years KR is finally revealing their San Diego Comic-Con exclusive releases BEFORE the Con!” (link)

Kidrobot - Gold Fortune 8 Inch Dunny & San Diego Comic Con 2009 Exclusive Black Luck 8 Inch Dunny by Mr. Shane Jessup
On July 23rd Kidrobot will be releasing the first of its three SDCC 09 exclusives and it is an 8 inch black Luck Dunny by Mr. Shane Jessup. The 8” Luck Dunny is the chase colorway to MSJ’s new gold 8” Fortune Dunny (which will be released worldwide on the very same day). Both versions come with a red envelope and gold coin necklace, ensuring the tides of fate sway in your favor! I can’t begin to tell you how annoyed I am that I won’t be getting to San Diego until 11am on the 23rd, because all of the black 8 inch Luck Dunnys are sure to be long gone by then. If anyone wants to hook The Blot up please shoot me an email!

Both figures will retail for $75 each, but the black Luck Dunny will only be available at San Diego Comic Con 2009. So make sure you’re at the Kidrobot booth early (#4529) as all these figures are sure to sell out, especially with Mr. Shane Jessup on hand to sign them. The gold 8 inch Fortune Dunny has a limited edition production run of 1000 figures, while the black 8 inch Lucky Dunny is limited to just 200 figures.

Mr. Shane Jessup will be signing at Kidrobot’s SDCC Booth #4529 on Thursday, July 23th from 11am-1pm. There will be a limited number of Fortune and Luck Dunnys available for signing.

Nike x Transformers Bumblebee, Megatron and Soundwave Sneakers

To be honest, The Blot doesn’t know much about the soon to be released limited edition Nike x Transformers Sneaker Set, but how cool does the packaging look!?!

The Nike x Transformers Sneaker Set - The Bumblebee Zoom FP Sneaker Close-UpThankfully this sneaker set is based on the Transformers character’s original cartoon/comic book design and not their alien look from the movies. My favorite part of the set by far is the sneakers’ packaging. The shoe boxes that accompany the Nike x Transformers sneaker set look almost identical to the toy line’s packaging from the 80’s. They even included the decodable statistics grid that used to be on the back of every figure. I wonder if the shoes also come with that red piece of plastic you used to have to hold over the statistics grid to decipher the Transformer’s abilities!?!

SDCC 09 Exclusive Benjamin Linus Lost Bobble Head

The Blot’s not all that into bobble heads but I am obsessed with ABC’s Lost, so this is one bobble head that has definitely piqued my interest! The San Diego Comic Con 2009 exclusive Ben Linus bobble head is “the first in a line of all-new action figures and bobble heads based on the ABC Series” to be released by manufacturer by Bif Bang Pow! (link) This creepy Benjamin "Ben" Linus Lost Bobble Head will be available exclusively at Entertainment Earth’s SDCC booth #2343.

What’s best about this Ben Linus Bobble Head is that he comes bruised and bloodied with his arm in a sling. I’m not sure if that is from Ben’s run-in with Desmond and Penny last season or his first encounter with Sayid way back in Season 2, but it's pretty cool looking either way. The mysterious Other once known only as Henry Gale comes standing on a Dharma Initiative logo base and packaged in a black and white Dharma Initiative box. The SDCC 09 exclusive Benjamine Linus Lost Bobble Head is limited to 1,008 pieces and will retail for price $17 each (limit two per person).
