A Nightmare On Elm Street Freddy Kreuger Version 2 Mez-Itz by Mezco

The Nightmare on Elm Street franchise is being relaunched in 2010 staring Jackie Earle Haley as the disfigured dream stalker, Freddy Kreuger. To mark the occasion, Mezco Toyz will be releasing its second Freddy Kreuger Mez-Itz 6 inch vinyl figure featuring the classic horror movie character’s updated look.


The Freddy Krueger 6” Mez-Itz designer vinyl figure comes with a removable hat and his trademark lethal glove, features five points of articulation and is packaged in a collector friendly window box. The Freddy Mez-Itz will not ship until April 2010, but is available for pre-order now directly from the Mezco Toyz online store for $13 each. A Nightmare on Elm Street, the big budget remake of Wes Craven’s 1984 classic staring Robert Englund and Johnny Depp, debuts in theatres on April 30, 2010.

Clash of the Titans' Perseus, the son of Zeus, is reimagined as a Mez-It 6 inch rotocast vinyl collectible. The tamer of Pegasus and the slayer of Medusa becomes part of Mezco Toyz’s designer vinyl toy line and comes complete with his sword of the gods. I know The Blot’s said this before, but I’m really impressed with the way Mezco is rolling out its new Mez-Itz toy line. Instead of flooding the market, they are releasing unique licensed characters one or two at a time, slowly building momentum and giving collectors time to get them all.
