Sketchbot Vinyl Figure by Steve Talkowski Release Party at myplasticheart

Steve Talkowski’s hotly anticipated vinyl figure Sketchbot is almost here! Tomorrow, Friday, June 11th, myplasticheart will be hosting a New York release and signing event in honor of the big event. It's been 11 months since Steve began actual production of the Sketchbot, and the figure is finally ready for his big New York debut.


Sketchbot, by Steve Talkowski, stands 5” tall, comes with his trusty sketchbot pencil, and retails for $34.99. Collectors can order a Sketchbot vinyl figure directly from myplasticheart here.

Talkowski will be signing and doing sketches at myplasticheart this Friday, June 11th, from 6-9pm. There will also be an official LA release and signing at Crewest the following Saturday, June 19th, for everyone on the west coast.

TRON Be@rbrick SDCC 2010 Exclusive

Medicom and Diamond are teaming up to release what is sure to be one of the hottest exclusives of San Diego Comic-Con 2010, a 100% TRON Be@rbrick! The TRON Be@rbrick harkens back to the original 1981 Tron figures released by Tomy, and it even comes packaged in a blister card made to resemble the packaging of the original release.


The 100% TRON Be@rbrick is limited to just 1,500 pieces and will retail for around $10-15 each. While these killer vinyl figures will only be available to fans at SDCC, a limited number are currently available for pre-order through Entertainment Earth here for $15.

The Bruiser: Sgt Vasquez in the Vlad Systems Vl.12 Powersuit by Huck Gee

Huck Gee has unleashed his newest creation on the world and it’s unbelievable! The Dread Squad's rock'em, sock'em, down and dirty, preferred method of minor mechanized destruction is the Vlad Systems Vl.12 PowerSuit, a.k.a. the “Bruiser,” and is worn here by Huck’s super commando Sgt Vasquez. This has to be one of the most ambitious hand painted customs to come around in a very long time.


The Vl.12 is one of the more customizable early military and private sector models from Vlad Systems. With variations designed for extreme environments, fire/rescue squads, general warfare, construction, and even zoology. And let's not forget the annual Mech games on planet Makoto! This figure is really quite the monstrosity, weighing in at almost 20 pounds!


And in case you're wondering, yes, that is a full size Munny, not a Mini-Munny, in the Bruiser. Each piece is signed, numbered and comes with all shown accessories. Only 10 of these imposing figures have been created and each retails for a cool $1500. This set will be distributed to customers on a first come, first serve basis.
