Scott Pilgrim vs. The World League of Ramona's Evil Exes Character Movie Poster Set

The League of Ramona's Evil Ex-Boyfriends one sheet character movie poster set for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is one of my all time favorite movie poster sets. Why might you ask? Because while it features a few established actors (Jason Schwartzman, Brandon Routh and Chris Evans), none of the six posters include the “stars” of the film. I think it was a gutsy marketing move that works for me as a Scott Pilgrim fan and movie poster connoisseur. I also like the fact that the poster set revolves around Scott Pilgrim’s mission to defeat Ramona Flowers’ 7 Evil Exes so he can peacefully date the girl of his dreams.




The League of Evil Exes includes Satya Bhabha as Matthew Patel, Chris Evans as Lucas Lee, Brandon Routh as Todd Ingram, Mae Whitman as Roxy Richter, Shota Saito & Keita Saito as Kyle & Ken Katayanagi, and Jason Schwartzman as Gideon Graves.




The Scott Pilgrim live action movie adaptation, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, premieres on August 13, 2010, while Scott Pilgrim Volume 6, Scott Pilgrim’s Finest Hour, by Bryan Lee O’Malley hits book shelves on July 20, 2010.

Threadless - “Z-A” Pop Culture Themed T-Shirt

The minute I saw the new pop culture inspired t-shirt “Z-A” on Threadless my mind instantly thought of the similarly themed “It Would Have Been Cooler As A Van” tee. They’re not all that similar, but both designs utilize pop culture icons from television and the movies perfectly. “Z-A” features the alphabet in reverse and pairs each letter with a movie character whose name starts with that corresponding letter…can you name them all!?!

How can you not love a design that features such a huge variety of iconic characters such as Wayne from Wayne’s World, Gandalf from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Dude from The Big Lebowski, Yoda from Star Wars, Alex from A Clockwork Orange and Indiana Jones all on the same t-shirt!?! I’ve gotten most of the movie references in “Z-A” but a few still allude me. U, for instance, has me completely stumped.
