Super7 SDCC 2010 Exclusive Burger Buns Vinyl Figure by Le Merde

Super7 is set to release the first mid sized version of Le Merede’s Burger Buns at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con! This unpainted 6” figure has 3 points of articulation (at its waist and both arms), and is cast in powder blue vinyl to match the first Hollis Price release.


Burger Buns is a weird dude. Maybe it is because he is actually a cat. Maybe it's his docked tail that has him in a constant state of shock. Or maybe it's his indecisiveness between his favorite bands ZEU and Misty Fog. Which side should he choose? He is a loner, wanderer and all around adventurer. His favorite food is a simple Hamburger from Kandar Kandies. He has teamed up with the ZEU crew on occasion, but mostly leads his own adventures with his cousins Emo Jets and Texture Willis.

Super7 SDCC 2010 Exclusive Monster Family 3-Packs

This is one of those San Diego Comic-Con releases/signings that makes The Blot really jealous of those able to attend the world’s greatest convention. Super7 has taken all of the figures from its immensely popular Monster Family toy line, including one brand new design, and will be releasing three different SDCC exclusive 3-packs of unpainted Monster Family figures in light green vinyl. I’ve got a feeling fans will be salivating to get their hands on all 9 of these unpainted figures (10 if you count Katope’s Drunk Seijin).


The Super7 SDCC Exclusive Monster Family 3-pack #1 seen above includes Le Turd by Le Merde, Power Mister by David Horvath & Sun-Min Kim and Partyball by Paul Kaiju. Each set will retail for $65 and will go on sale at 11am on Friday, July 23rd at the Super7 SDCC booth #4729. All three artists will also be on hand at that time to sign or customize your brand new unpainted light green figures.


Super7 San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive Monster Family 3-Pack #2 includes Fire Robo by Jeremy Whiteaker, Patty Power by Arbito & Rose Vampire by Josh Herbolsheimer. This set will also retail for $65 and will go on sale Friday, July 23rd at 4pm. This will also be the time Josh, Jeremy and Arbito will be available to sign/customize your Monster Family 3-Pack #2 vinyl figures.


Last but not least, the Super7 SDCC 2010 Exclusive Monster Family 3-Pack #3 includes Steven the Bat by Bwana Spoons, Garuru by Itokin Park and Big Sal by Brand Peters & Kathie Olivas. This set will not go on sale until Saturday, July 24th, at 11am and will retail for $65 each. This is sure to be an extremely popular signing with all four artists, Brandt Peters, Kathie Olivas, Itokin Park and Bwana Spoons, on hand to customize their green unpainted figures.

Green Lantern Motion Picture First Look - Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern Hi-Res Photo

San Diego Comic-Con 2010 is almost upon us, and fans lucky enough to sit in the Green Lantern live action movie panel are in form some killer surprises I’m sure. For the rest of us there’s the cover to this week’s Entertainment Weekly Special Comic-Con Preview, which features the first ever photo of Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern! While I don’t hate the character’s all CG look, I’m not really a fan of it either. And I really hate all the unnecessary texture and ribbing the films’ special effects team added to GL’s classic look. I don’t know about you, but The Blot kinda likes my superheroes in spandex.

Warner Bros.’ live action adaptation of the DC Comics' comic book Green Lantern is scheduled to premiere in theaters on June 17, 2011.

Super7 SDCC 2010 Exclusive Yellow Mummy Boy with Bullmark Hedorah Colorway

Super7 did the unthinkable, the San Francisco based toy company just announced almost 30 different exclusives for San Diego Comic-Con 2010 and all of them look amazing! The Blot was hoping for a variety of Super7 SDCC exclusives, but not even I could have imagined this plethora of vinyl goodness.


First up is S7’s mascot, Mummy Boy designed by Brian Flynn. The San Diego Comic-Con 2010 exclusive Mummy Boy is made from yellow vinyl and features the classic Bullmark Hedorah color scheme of sprays. Each 8” Mummy Boy will retail for $50 each but be sure to find your way to the Super7 SDCC booth # 4729 quickly as supplies are limited.

Kidrobot x Yo Gabba Gabba DJ Lance Rock 3 Inch Dunny

Get your sillies out with this 3 inch Dunny of Kidrobot’s pal DJ Lance Rock from Yo Gabba Gabba! The number one DJ in Gabba Land brings the beats with his boom box and trademark tall furry hat. It was only a matter of time before Wildbrain’s two biggest properties officially merged, and this is it. The question is, what does everyone think? Is it a good thing Dunnys are officially being marketed towards kids? I guess only time will tell…


The Kidrobot x Yo Gabba Gabba DJ Lance Rock 3” Dunny will retail for $11 (including tax) in an exclusive pre-release & signing at Kidrobot’s San Diego Comic-Con booth #4529 on July 25th. The DJ Lance Rock Dunny dances into Kidrobot stores, kidrobot.com and select retailers worldwide on September 2nd and will retail for $9.95 each.

Kidrobot x The Simpsons Lard Lad Vinyl Figure

Lard Lad, the massive mascot of Homer Simpson’s favorite donut emporium, has been turned into 6 inches of donut hoarding vinyl by the fine folks at Kidrobot. The newest Kidrobot x The Simpsons collaboration is finally here and The Blot def digs it…but I have to ask, when are we finally going to get 6” figures of our favorite Simpsons characters!?!


Collectors can first get their hands on Lard Lad at Kidrobot’s San Diego Comic-Con booth #4529 on July 21st for $45 (including tax) each at the figure’s pre-release. The Kidrobot x The Simpsons Lard Lad vinyl figure will see its official release on September 2nd, which is when collectors will be able to buy the toy for $39.99 in Kidrobot stores, kidrobot.com and select retailers worldwide.
