RED Final One Sheet Movie Poster

While the trailers for RED look awesome (and the DC comic book rocks), The Blot’s kind of disappointed in the film’s final one sheet movie poster. All it is is an amalgam of the movie’s character movie poster set, which is kind of a copout (even though the character one sheets are pretty cool). Regardless, with a cast like this the film’s got to be good, right!?! We’ll see in a few weeks I guess.

RED stars Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Mary-Louise Parker and Karl Urban, and debuts in theaters on October 15, 2010.

Star Wars x adidas Originals Fall/Winter 2010 Sneaker Collection

The adidas Originals x Star Wars Collection continues this fall/winter with five new Star Wars inspired sneakers from adidas. The first is the Han Solo SL-72 sneaker which is based on the scene in The Empire Strikes Back where Han is frozen in carbonite. It’s a pretty cool idea if you ask me, and the shoes actually come with a silver cover so you can freeze your sneakers in carbonite too!

While the Han Solo in Carbonite SL-72s are The Blot’s personal favorite, I’ve got a feeling a lot of Star Wars fans will be going crazy over the Droids Top Ten Low, which features the most popular droids in the galaxy, R2-D2 and C-3PO. Each sneaker is split down the middle, with the outside representing R2-D2’s blue, white and silver color scheme and the inside resembling C-3PO’s gold and black colors. If you notice in the photot, inside the adidas stripes you can see wiring that looks like 3PO’s midsection.

Rounding out the adidas Originals x Star Wars Fall/Winter 2010 sneaker collection is a green Metro Attitude sneaker inspired by Jabba the Hutt, a furry brown Jogging High sneaker inspired by Chewbacca, and a Boba Fett inspired ZX 800 sneaker. Adidas did an amazing job with colors of the ZX 800, it really does look just like Boba Fett’s armor.

While the Han Solo in Carbonite SL-72s are my favorite because of their creativity and uniqueness, these Boba Fett sneakers are the shoes I’m most likely to buy! The adidas Originals x Star Wars Fall/Winter 2010 Collection should start showing up in adidas Originals retail locations sometime in September, so be on the look out.

Green Lantern Classics Wave 1 Action Figures

Mattel is slowly but surely gearing up for the year of Green Lantern, and it kicks off with this new line of mass market action figures. Green Lantern Classics Wave 1, the first official spin-off of Mattel’s DC Universe Classics, line consists of 6 figures and one larger “Collect and Connect” figure.

Wave 1 includes Green Lantern Kyle Rayner, Mongul, Black Hand, a Manhunter robot, Sinestro Corps Low and Mash, and Black Lantern Abin Sur. The Low and Mash 2-pack is actually just one figure that comes with interchangeable heads and two sets of hands, and the Collect and Connect figure is Sinestro Corps Arkillo.

Is it me, or is Green Lantern Classics Wave 1 all about the villains!?! What’s surprising about this set is that it only includes one Green Lantern, and it’s Kyle Rayner. This is pretty surprising since The Blot’s pretty sure he won’t be showing up in the film. One explanation for this is Mattel will also be releasing a corresponding 2-pack featuring Hal Jordan and Sinestro. I guess this way fans can get the two “main” Green Lantern figures in one fell swoop.

Green Lantern Classics Wave 1 action figures can be purchased individually here for $16.99 or as a full case of all 6 figures for $119.99 here.
