Uncanny X-Force Minimates Box Set

To commemorate Marvel’s all new ongoing series Uncanny X-Force by Rick Remender and Jerome Opena, Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum have created this awesome Uncanny X-Force Minimates box set. Wolverine and Angel have put together this black ops team with one goal in mind, take down the recently resurrected Apocalypse. Following the team’s debut in X-Men: Second Coming #2, comes the team members’ official action figure debut in their new black ops outfits.

Uncanny X-Force Minimates Box Set by Diamond Select - Wolverine, Archangel, Psylocke & Deadpool
The Uncanny X-Force Minimates box set includes Wolverine, Archangel, Psylocke and Deadpool in their black and grey uniforms. The only disappointing part of this set is that it does not include Uncanny X-Force’s fifth member, Fantomex, especially since Diamond had a Fantomex Minimate on display with this set at San Diego Comic-Con 2010.

Marvel Comics - Uncanny X-Force featuring Wolverine, Archangel, Psylocke, Deadpool & Fantomex
Packaged in partial window box packaging and limited to the specialty market (specifically online retailers like Big Bad Toy Store), this 4 pack is sure to be a hit with fans and collectors alike. Each Uncanny X-Force Minimates box set retails for $15.99 and will ship sometime in January 2011.

La Muerte Negro Custom Munny by Huck Gee

Huck Gee continues his line of sci-fi custom vinyl figures with the mysterious and deadly La Muerte Negro. On Naoya 13 there are many whispered tales of people disappearing in the night. Sometimes, they are tales of dissidents and rival political parties. Sometimes they are tales of justice in the underground, of pit fighting organizers, of gang lords, or of corrupt police. Sometimes they are just tales…People may never know the answers they seek, but when darkness descends, when evil things happen and they leave not a trace, they blame La Muerte Negro.

La Muerte Negro Custom Munny Vinyl Figure by Huck Gee
Officially, La Muerte Negro does not exist. The Taurenos royal family denies their existence. There is no La Muerte Negro. But the people know better. They were told the tales as children to keep their lives straight. The tales evolved as they grew older, no longer just a myth. Everybody knows someone that knew somebody that disappeared. The people know what darkness patrols the city when the sun sets...the people know...

La Muerte Negro Custom Munny Vinyl Figure by Huck Gee
Huck has created 10 hand painted La Muerte Negro custom Munny vinyl figures, and will be selling then for $800 each. This set will be distributed to customers on a first come, first serve basis. Anyone interested please email sales@huckgee.com ASAP to reserve your figure and make payment arrangements.

Disney Vinylmation Toy Story Series

Coming soon to Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort is the brand new Vinylmation Toy Story Series featuring all of your favorite characters from Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3! The Disney Vinylmation Toy Story Series includes 11 characters and 1 secret mystery chase. This series actually looks pretty cool, but I was disappointed to learn they left out some of my favorite Toy Story characters like Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Slinky Dog and of course those cute, lovable squeeze toy Aliens.

Disney Vinylmation Toy Story 3 Inch Series - Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie & Bullseye
Disney Vinylmation Toy Story Series includes Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Bullseye, Lotso, Big Baby, Army Sarge, Buttercup, Rex, Wheezy, Hamm and as the mystery chase, Hamm as Evil Doctor Pork Chop. There’s been no word yet as to the official release date of this new Vinylmation Series, but The Blot’s got a feeling it’s going to be very popular among diehard Disney/Pixar fans.

Mondo Star Wars Screen Print Series #4 - Hoth by Dan McCarthy

The fourth screen print in the Mondo Star Wars Screen Print Series was unveiled yesterday and it is entitled “Hoth” by Dan McCarthy! McCarthy is a huge name in the world of screenprints and his landscapes are always breathtaking, so I would expect the combination of a McCarthy print with Star Wars to mean a super fast sellout.

(click on the photo above for a more detailed look)

And if you’re wondering how we know this beautiful snowy landscape really is the icy planet of Hoth, you can see a viper probe droid in the foreground, sent by the Empire to search for the Rebellion’s secret Echo Base (as seen in The Empire Strikes Back). The Blot loves Star Wars, but what’s really cool about this print is that it could be hung on your wall and most people would not necessarily know it was Star Wars related. Sometimes that’s a good thing when your significant other isn’t in to sci-fi.

“Hoth” by Dan McCarthy is a hand numbered 12″x36″ screen print with a limited edition run size of 475. Each print retails for $50 and can be purchased directly from Mondo Tees at a random time today, Friday, August 20th, here.
