Dragon*Con Exclusive GID Big Sal by Brandt Peters and Kathie Olivias

Just announced on the Circus Posterus forum is the Dragon*Con 2010 Exclusive Glow-in-the-Dark Big Sal vinyl figure by Brandt Peters and Kathie Olivias (and produced by Super7). This Blot is a sucker for all things GID, and this colorway just blows me away! I especially love the way the lime green paint looks on GID vinyl.


The Dragon*Con 2010 Exclusive GID Big Sal by Brandt Peters and Kathie Olivias will be available for purchase at the Circus Posterus booth and will most likely retail for $30-40 each. Be sure to act fast if you want one of these killer glow in the dark figures, because these are sure to sell out pretty fast.

UPDATED DETAILS: Disney x Medicom Pinocchio & Jiminy Cricket Vinyl Figures by Kaws

When The Blot first heard about the upcoming Disney x Medicom Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket vinyl figures by Kaws I knew I had to have them…that is until I saw the price! Medicom has finally released some details about these awesome looking figures, and it goes a little something like this: the Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket set will be released via Kaws’ Original Fake on August 28, 2010 and retail for somewhere around $210-270. Here’s hoping my Disney contact can hook a brother up!


I have a feeling these Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket vinyl figures by Kaws will be very hard to get in the US, but The Blot does have a lead! ToyQube will be selling a limited amount of these figures for $265, and will be available sometime soon here.

Obey Giant John & Yoko Canvas Screen Print by Shepard Fairey

While The Blot has enjoyed Shepard Fairey’s series of canvas screenprints, I haven’t been in love with a lot of them. Thankfully his latest print, “John & Yoko,” has lived up to the hype. “John & Yoko,” based on the phototgraph by Ian Macmillan, has definitely been the most hotly anticipated of all of the Obey Giant canvas prints, and I’ve got a feeling this one is going to be selling out extremely quickly.


The Obey Giant “John & Yoko” Canvas Screen Print by Shepard Fairey measures 18”x24”, comes signed and numbered by the artist, and has a limited edition run size of 450 pieces. Each print will retail for $70, with a portion of all proceeds going to the Spirit Foundations, Inc. The “John & Yoko” Canvas Print will go on sale tomorrow, Thursday, August 26th, at a random time at the Obey Giant online store
