G.I. Joe Custom Dunnys by Nikejerk

If you’re a long time reader of The Blot Says… then you probably remember Nikejerk from his awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Custom 3” Dunny Series that The Blot went gaga over. Well the Atlanta based artist has done it again with an all new set of custom 3” Dunnys. This time however, Nikejerk has immortalized one of my all time favorite ‘80s properties, G.I. Joe!


Nikejerk’s G.I. Joe Dunny Set includes six 3 inch custom Dunnys, each hand painted and hand sculpted. There are three G.I. Joe members, Duke, Scarlett and Snake Eyes, and three members of Cobra, Cobra Commander, Destro and Storm Shadow. I’m usually partial to anything Destro, but how sick is that Storm Shadow custom!?! Which one’s your favorite?



For all the Joe fans out there hoping to get their hands on one or more of these amazing custom Dunnys by Nikejerk, The Blot’s got some bad news. This six figure set made exclusively for a private collector who commissioned Nikejerk for the figures. All I can say about that is I’m one jealous vinyl collector!

New LEGO Harry Potter Sets

Since I’ve finally started reading the Harry Potter series I’ve begun taking notice of cool Harry Potter related releases, including these 6 awesome new sets from LEGO! These LEGO Harry Potter sets aren’t specific to one book, so if you don’t want any spoilers I’d suggest not looking too closely. These look like great fun, but what I really love about them is the ability to get LEGO versions of all of our favorite HP characters.


The six new LEGO Harry Potter sets include: Hogwart’s Castle, Hogwart’s Express, The Burrows, Hagrid’s Hut, Quidditch Lesson, and Dobby’s Release. I tried to pick a favorite, but I’m torn between the giant 1,290 piece Hogwart’s Castle (which includes 2 Dementors!) and the much smaller, yet possibly more fun, Quidditch Lesson set.

Mondo Star Wars Screen Print Series #6 - Dawn of Tatooine by Shan Jiang

The sixth screen print in the Mondo Star Wars Screen Print Series was unveiled last night and it is entitled “Dawn of Tatooine.” This beautiful screenprint is by Shan Jiang, an artist The Blot is unfortunately unfamiliar with, and features a sandtrooper patrolling the home planet of Luke Skywalker on a massive dewback.


Jiang explained his thoughts behind this new print: “Imagining what those people on Tatooine see in everyday life is something I wanted to create for this Star Wars poster. One of the sandtroopers is patrolling on the night shift and decides to stay up on a high rock with his dewback. Maybe he is waiting to see the sunrise or just wants to be alone for a little while. It’s a little peace before things eventually go wrong.”

“Dawn of Tatooine” by Shan Jiang is a hand numbered 24″x36″ screen print with a limited edition run size of 410. Each print retails for $50 and can be purchased directly from Mondo Tees at a random time today, Friday, September 10th, here.
