NYCC Exclusive Yokas by Motorbot, Reactor88 & PHU!

The Blot’s been waiting for the official announcement of this release for a few weeks now, and it’s finally here! adFunture is set to release three all new 3” Yoka vinyl figures designed by three amazing toy customizers at New York Comic-Con 2010 next month. These NYCC 2010 Exclusive “New Yorka” vinyl figures, designed by Motorbot, Reactor88 and PHU!, look pretty awesome.


These NYCC 2010 Exclusive Yokas do an excellent job showcasing the three designers’ signature styles, which is why collectors have coveted their custom figures for so many years. The Blot’s particularly excited for Motorbot’s Lout Yoka, because I love seeing artists’ characters produced on other platforms (it’s also his first production toy, congrats Motorbot!).

Each NYCC Exclusive Yoka will have a limitee edition run size of 200 figures, and will be available for purchase at myplasticheart’s NYCC booth. New York Comic-Con 2010 takes place October 8-10.

LTD Tee - F*ck Love T-Shirt & Art Print by Berto Legendary H

The newest box set from LTD Tee was released today, and it’s “F*ck Love” by Berto Legendary H. This shirt is strictly for the independent minded, bread winners. Berto Legendary H is an independent designer and artist based in Portland, Oregon. After attending Parsons School of Design in New York City, he decided to move to Los Angeles where he has shown in galleries and built his network of clientele. Berto has been featured in Computer Arts Projects and numerous blogs for his art and typography, and has been acclaimed by Vivienne Westwood and many others for his men’s fashion design.

Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations - Madrid

Tonight, Tony and the No Reservations crew take the show to Madrid for an absolutely gorgeous and delicious viewing experience. This is one of those episodes where the timing could not have worked out any better! While in Madrid for the taping of this episode, Spain's national futbol team won the 2010 World Cup. The win was much bigger than sports; it marked a significant day in history when this large and diverse country found a moment of pride after a less than lustrous 20th century.


The clash between old food tradition and rebellious new creativity is especially prominent in Madrid. While in Spain, Tony hits a few spots that appear to be stuck in time, and at the same time visits some young and exciting restaurants. Tony dines at one of the most difficult restaurants to get a reservation at in all of Europe. It is so busy that the owner and service manager had to open up especially for Tony on their wedding day!



The one Spanish delicacy that Tony loves above all others is the Spanish ham, and more specifically, Jamón Ibérico ham. It can only come from the rare black hoofed pig, and it must be raised in a very specific way in the western region of Spain. It is then cured for almost four years at a very precise level of humidity. To pass through Spain without sampling this magnificent creation is no less than a sin.
