Green Lantern: The Animated Series Teaser Poster & Concept Art

One of the best things to come out of New York Comic-Con 2010 is this first teaser TV poster for the upcoming Green Lantern: The Animated Series! This new animated television show from Warner Bros. Animation and executive producer Bruce Timm will debut on the Cartoon Network in 2011.

Even though 2010 was all about Green Lantern and Blackest Night, I think it’s safe to say 2011 is shaping up to be an even bigger year for Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps. In fact, depending on how well the live action movie does, 2011 might be “The Year of Green Lantern.” If you’re as excited about the upcoming GL animated series as The Blot is, you’ll want to check out the character concept art below of Hal Jordan, Kilowog, Atrocitus the the Guardians.

Ninja Star: Wars Art Prints by Steve Bialik

A long time ago on an island far, far away… Spoke Art is proud to present its inaugural release, an art print series entitled “Ninja Star: Wars.” Ninja Star: Wars pairs together the most beloved Star Wars characters with traditional Japanese ukiyo-e inspired imagery. Illustrator Steve Bialik has created a captivating alternate universe which reinterprets notable Star Wars characters as if they existed in feudal Japan.

The print set is comprised of six prints, and feature Luke Skywalker in “The Master,” Princess Leia and Jabba the Hutt in “The Princess and The Frog,” Boba Fett in “The Bounty Hunter,” Han Solo and Chewbacca in “The Smugglers,” Admiral Ackbar in “The Admiral” and Emperor Palpatine in “The Emperor.”

Each Ninja Star: Wars lithograph measures 11”x27”, is individually hand numbered, and has a limited edition run size of just 450 prints per image. Prints can be purchased from the Spoke Editions online store individually for $15 or as a complete six print set for $75.

Booster Gold T-Shirts by Graphitti Designs & DC Comics

As you may or may not know, Booster Gold is one of my favorite super heroes. So his return to prominence in the DC Universe has made The Blot a very happy comic book reader. I pretty much own every Booster Gold related item ever produced, which besides a handful of action figures is not all that much. Well that all changed two summers ago when Graphitti Designs released the “Booster Gold Fan Club” t-shirt at San Diego Comic-Con 2009.

Graphitti Designs is now following up that classic DC Comics tee with the “Booster Gold Symbol” t-shirt, and it’s about damn time! The title of the shirt really sums up its design, as it features Booster’s yellow symbol on a blue t-shirt. So simple and yet so awesome if you ask me! Graphitti Designs and DC Comics have been producing a ton of these super hero logo tees lately and The Blot can’t get enough of them.
