The Blot was recently introduced to Grits, a killer new clothing line from Houston’s own Reuben Levi. It began with “Grits,” a name that reminded Levi of Houston, Texas and Southern culture in general. As Reuben tells it, the concept was simple: “No Grits No Glory.” A reminder that if you want to do something you love, you have to put your whole self into it. Hold back and you won’t. It’s that simple.
What amazes me about Levi and his line of limited edition t-shirts is the fact that they are being produced in my very own city! I hate the fact that I know of t-shirt brands from around the country, yet here’s an amazing artist doing his thing in my own backyard and I had no clue. Thankfully, that’s no longer the case, and you can now expect updates on this talented designer regularly on The Blot Says…
Grits’ awesome limited edition t-shirts can be purchased for $25 each at the Grits online store. To learn more about this growing Texas brand check out the Grits blog, follow Grits on Twitter and join the Grits Facebook page.

Sketchbot Blue Variant by Steve Talkowski
The second colorway of Steve Talkowski’s Sketchbot vinyl figure is finally here, and it looks awesome! The Blue Sketchbot has a limited edition run size of 300 figures and includes a paintbrush accessory. Talkowski’s Sketchbot is one of The Blot’s favorite new figures of 2010, and I seriously can’t wait to get my hands on one...I just need to figure out which of the figure's 3 colorways I want to get!
The Sketchbot Blue Variant by Steve Talkowsky stands 5 inches tall and has 6 points of articulation. Best of all, the Sketchbot vinyl figure can be yours for just $35.

Barneyism of the Week - Office Parties
I love the office Halloween Party.
It is so much sluttier than the office Christmas Party.
Though, not as freaky as the Office President’s Day Rave,
or the Office Tu B’Shevat Pajama Jammy Jam.
