Young Justice Animated Series Premiers Tonight on Cartoon Network
Tonight marks the one hour world premiere of the new animated series Young Justice on the Cartoon Network! The Blot can’t get over how much super hero animated goodness is on TV right now, and Young Justice is on the top of my must watch list. The Young Justice comic book, by Peter David and Todd Nauck, was one of my favorite DC comic books during the late ‘90s/early ‘00s and I still miss reading it today. The book’s strong ensemble cast was one of the best youth books ever written (in my honest opinion).
From my understanding the new Young Justice animated series is not really based on the comic book so much as re-appropriating their characters for the show. Sadly, it’ll feature Dick Grayson and Robin and Wally West as Kid Flash, making this show much more like a junior Teen Titans than Young Justice. It’s also weird to find out the show’s newest character, Aqualad, will also be the team’s leader. Aqualad just made his debut a few months ago in the DC Comics bi-monthly comic book Brightest Day.
The animated show’s Young Justice will be compromised of Superboy, Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Miss Martian and Artemis. The show premieres with a one hour movie tonight, Friday, November 26th, at 7/6c on the Cartoon Network. The show will then return with all new 30min episodes starting in January 2011.

Obey Giant Constructivist Banner Print by Shephard Fairey
Obey Giant is releasing another interesting propaganda style screen print this Monday entitled “Constructivist Banner.” I feel like Shephard Fairey has really been on his game lately, and a lot of that has to with a return to his classic roots. Then again, you probably have to be a fan of text in your prints to fully appreciate “Constructivist Banner.”
“Constructivist Banner” is an 18”x24″ signed and numbered screen print. It comes in two colors schemes, cream & red and black & red, each with a limited edition run size of 350 prints. The prints will retail for $45 and go on sale at the Obey Giant online store this Monday, November 29th, at a random time.
