If you’ve been in a department store lately you’ve probably noticed the M∙A∙C make-up counter has been transformed to look a lot like your local comic shop! That’s because starting February 10, 2011 (through mid April), M∙A∙C Cosmetics will be selling a limited edition Wonder Woman collection. Not only has M∙A∙C released an entire line of make-up based on the First Lady of DC Comics, but they have also released line of Wonder Woman themed clothing and accessories featuring the artwork of legendary comic book artist Mike Allred.

While make-up isn’t really The Blot’s thing, I’ve already told Aly she can have anything she wants from M∙A∙C’s new limited edition Wonder Woman collection. My pocketbook is thankful that she hasn’t taken me up on the offer yet, but she better act fast! From what I’ve seen the Wonder Woman collection is already selling out in stores nationwide.

G.I. Joe x Transformers Starscream Sky Striker with Cobra Commander & Megatron

San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Exclusive G.I. Joe x Transformers Starscream Sky Striker Jet with Cobra Commander Action Figure & a Megatron Walther P38 Pistol
Click on the photo above for a more detailed look
This past weekend at Toy Fair 2011 Hasbro debuted what may be the greatest San Diego Comic-Con exclusive ever! What you see above is the SDCC 2011 exclusive G.I. Joe Sky Striker jet, which features the color scheme of Transformers Generation 1 Starscream. This killer jet includes a Cobra Commander action figure (in a flight suit naturally) and a Walther P38 pistol (a.k.a. G1 Megatron in gun mode). How freaking cool is that!?!?

The Blot hasn’t bought a G.I. Joe vehicle in over 15 years, but that might change this summer. This is definitely one of those Comic-Con exclusive that’s going to send fans worldwide scrambling to get their hands on one!  Which will probably mean this G.I. Joe x Transformers crossover will fetch huge prices on the secondary market. Oh well, a boy can dream can't he? The Blot will definitely be posting more information on this SDCC exclusive as it becomes available!

Barneyism of the Week - Desperation Day

Loneliness, the looming specter of Valentine’s Day fast approaching,
the two key ingredients to my favorite day of the year:
February 13th…Desperation Day.

Every woman wants a date on Valentine’s Day.
That neediness reaches its climax, what up, on February 13th.
A magical night when a 10 has the self-esteem of a 4
and the depraved enthusiasm of a 2.

Now there’s only one thing you can’t do…

“Please say widows” - Robin

Wherever you are or whoever you’re under,
you must get home alone by 11:59 pm.
Otherwise you’re on a date on Valentine’s Day.
