DC Universe Superman & Darkseid 6” Mez-Itz Vinyl Figure Set

It’s been almost a year since we first saw these Superman and Darkseid DC Universe 6” Mez-Itz vinyl figures at San Diego Comic-Con 2010, and Mezco Toyz is just now announcing these DC Comics collectibles be hitting store shelves sometime in August 2011. That’s over a year after they first debuted! Talk about taking their sweet time…but The Blot will let it slide just this once, because I really do love these Mez-Itz vinyl figures.

Each 6 inch Mez-Itz vinyl figure is made of rotocast plastic, features five points of articulation and comes individually packaged in a collector friendly double sided window box that allows you to see both the front and back of the figure. The Superman and Darkseid Mez-Itz Set is currently available for pre-order through Entertainment Earth here for $23.99.

Dragatomi Exclusive Peyote Edition Mictlan Vinyl Figure by Jesse Hernandez

This Saturday the newest colorway of Jesse Hernandez’ popular vinyl figure The Mictlan will be released. The Peyote Edition Mictlan, a Dragatomi exclusive, features a pretty cool color scheme of black, yellow a maroon red and a dark rich olive green. The Blot’s been wondering for months what the “Peyote” colorway would look like, and Jesse and Dragatomi definitely didn’t disappoint! I love the way the Peyote Edition darkens Jesse’s trademark red, yellow and black color scheme, which really brings out the amazing Mictlan sculpt.

The Peyote Edition Mictlan by Jesse Hernandez has a limited edition run size of 85 pieces and will be released on Saturday, May 7th, exclusively at Dragatomi.com for $70 each. In conjunction with the release of this killer colorway, Dragatomi will be hosting a special signing with Jesse this Saturday from 7 - 9pm.
