Super7 10th Anniversary Lucky Bags

Super7 will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary this Saturday with it's yearly Lucky Bag release! If you're not familiar with S7's Lucky Bag, just know this...they're awesome! And since this is the company's 10th Anniversary you know these LBs will be even more spectacular than ever before. In fact, rumor has it no 2 Lucky Bags will be the same!

Each Super7 10th Anniversary Lucky Bags will be sold blind box style and include seven mystery figures. Each bag will contain a unique combination of production pieces, samples, monsters, unpainted figures, hand painted figures (HPs), one-offs, and so much more! What could be in the 2011 Super7 Lucky Bags??? Put on your detective hats and examine the two teaser images very carefully. Any ideas?

The 2011 10th Anniversary Super7 Lucky Bags will retail for $275 each and go on sale at the Super7 anniversary party this Saturday, May 14th. Any remaining bags will go on sale at Super7Store.com and select specialty stores nationwide sometime soon thereafter.

Cast in Plastic Custom Toy Show at Domy Books This Saturday!

This weekend is a monumental event in the Houston designer toy scene, the city’s very first custom toy show! After months of teasers, “Cast in Plastic: Art from the Designer Toy Revolution,” curated by Marie Ung, will be debuting this Saturday, May 14th, at Domy Books (aka the epicenter of designer toys in Houston) from 7-10pm. The show includes over 30 different artists from around the globe showcasing their unique skills on a variety of vinyl platforms. The Blot will definitely be in attendance Saturday night, and I look forward to not only meeting fellow collectors but giving readers of TheBlotSay.com an in-depth review of the show!  Finally, an opportunity to use my Flip video recorder for some good old fashion toy blogging.

King Jinx Resin Figures by Paul Kaiju

Is it just me, or is Paul Kaiju constantly pushing the boundaries of resin? Paul recently unveiled his newest resin figure, King Jinx, and The Blot can’t get over all of the little details Paul included in the sculpt…and don’t even get me started on how cool it is that he included real working joints in King Jinx’ pinchers! Some of the King Jinx figures seen here will be available in the Paul Kaiju online store very soon, including the Mixed Parts King Jinx resin figure, which is limited to just 4 pieces.

King Jinx Secret Origin: King Jinx was summoned from the “Hollow Earth HELL Trench” by the notorious Captain Slugbeard! This giant creature has the ability to create and command thick PHANTOM fog, enveloping ships en route to major ports. It utilizes the powerful “Cobra Flash” on its forehead to send false Lighthouse warnings and scramble the ship’s communications and radar equipment while they are enveloped in the thick PHANTOM fog. Confused, the ships are destined for destruction where King Jinx can feast upon the helpless crews and steal valuable cargo to fill the evil Captain Slugbeard’s ever-hungry treasure vaults hidden on the dark side of New Catalina Atoll!
