Threadless Doctor Who T-Shirt "Doctor-Hoo"

Threadless Doctor Who T-shirt “Doctor-Hoo” by Mallory Dyer

Doctor-Hoo by Mallory Dyer

I think it’s safe to say the Doctor Who craze is officially sweeping across America! What was once considered here in the US as just an obscure sci-fi show from Britain, Doctor Who has become a full fledged pop culture phenomenon. Threadless’ first Doctor Who inspired t-shirt is entitled “Doctor-Hoo,” and reimagines all 11 doctors as, you guessed it, owls! The artist really did a great job with this design, as each owl really looks like the actor it’s based on. And I love the way they incorporated Tom Baker’s Fourth Doctor’s signature scarf into the image. It really ties the whole tree limb together.

The Threadless Doctor Who t-shirt “Doctor-Hoo” comes printed on a light blue t-shirt and is currently available at Threadless.com on sale for $12 (regularly priced $22). The shirt comes in both guys and girls styles, sizes S-2XL.

Ghost Robot Resin Figures by Cris Rose

Ghosts Robot Resin Figures by Cris Rose

Cris Rose has taken his robot resin figures to the next level with his all new (and all clear) Ghost Robots! Made entirely of clear resin, this is not an edition, nor are they high volume, numbered or centered around any specific robot style. Because of how tough these clear Ghost Robots are to make, Cris will only be producing these in very small numbers, and like all Ghosts do, will be randomly appearing on his online store.  The Blot loves clear resin, and these all new Ghost Robots look pretty awesome! Just look at all the details in their clear little bodies.

So, if you happen to be on Cris’ online store and you spy a Ghost, act quickly because you know Ghosts disappear just as quickly as they appear! Ghosts come and go without warning, without reason and without pattern, don't try and preempt one appearing, you'll probably be wrong... happy hunting ghostbusters!

Plastic City The Aleppin Sane Vinyl Bust by Jermaine Rogers

Plastic City The Aleppin Sane Vinyl Bust by Jermaine Rogers

Plastic City, the industry’s newest designer toy producer, announced their first figure on Twitter earlier this week, and it is an 8” Aleppin Sane vinyl bust by Jermaine Rogers! The Blot is a huge Jermaine Rogers fan so you know this has me all kinds of excited. The Aleppin Sane, which is a riff of David Bowie’s Aladdin Insane album cover, debuted in a series of Foo Fighter gig posters and has since become one of JR’s most iconic characters. Not too many details are known about this upcoming vinyl bust, but we do know it will first be released at San Diego Comic-Con 2011. Look for more details on The Blot Says… as they become available!
