Green Lantern Character Movie Posters

Green Lantern Corps fans are really going to love this new set of Green Lantern character movie posters. Everyone’s represented in this set, Sinestro, Kilowog, Abin Sur and Tomar-Re…heck even Hector Hammond got a poster! What’s funny is that the Hammond poster is the first one sheet to feature a character who doesn’t wear a Green Lantern ring.

A year ago The Blot would have bet any amount of money that distinction would go to Blake Lively’s Carol Ferris, but she has all but disappeared from the movie’s advertising. Doesn’t speak well for Lively’s drawing power does it? It also makes me question Carol’s staying power. Does this make it less likely that we’ll see the Star Sapphire appear in a Green Lantern sequel? Heck, even Gwenyth Paltrow’s Pepper Potts got prominent placement in both Iron Man’s movie posters and trailers. Oh well, I’d definitely rather see more Kilowog and Sinestro than Carol Ferris and Thomas Kalmaku any day.

Green Lantern premieres in theaters on Friday, June 17, 2011.

Funko announced its latest wave of Pop! Movies vinyl figures, and it will feature characters from one of the most influential movies of all time, The Wizard of Oz! Now fans can return to Oz with cute vinyl figures of Dorothy, the Wicked Witch and a Winged Monkey. But where's the Tin Woodsman!?!  While Wizard of Oz figures might not be for everyone, The Blot is very impressed with how these 3 figures turned out. They might be the most detailed Pop! mini figures released by Funko to date.

Each Wizard of Oz Pop! Movies vinyl figure stands 3.75” tall, has a rotating head and comes in a displayable window box. While these 3 figures are not expected to ship until August 2011, you can already pre-order them from Entertainment Earth here for $9.99 each.
