Summer is in the air, and what better way to kick it off than with a couple of refreshing flavors of two tiny and tasty toys from Super7! The Citrus Pocket Mummy Gator seems all smiles in lemon yellow vinyl with a twist of lime spray. Don't get too close though, he's not afraid to bite the hand that feeds him, even if it's his own! Along with this sweet and sourpuss comes the Grape Fenton! Her sugary sweet smile is sure to cool down the hottest of summer days. Cast in the purpliest of grape purple vinyl with black and light blue sprays. Both Grape Fenton and Citrus Pocket Mummy Gator go on sale today, Friday, May 27th, at noon PDT for $15 and $25 respectively at the Super7 online store.

SDCC 2011 Exclusive Doctor Who & Sontaran Styre 8” Mego Style Action Figures
2011 is shaping up to be a huge year for Bif Bang Pow!, especially now that they have the Doctor Who license. Bif Bang Pow!’s new Doctor Who line makes its world debut this summer at San Diego Comic-Con 2011 with 5 different SDCC exclusives. First up are the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) and Sontaran Field-Major Styre 8” Mego style action figures. Each comes fully articulated and includes 1970s retro style real fabric clothing recreating their looks from the classic Doctor Who episode "The Sontaran Experiment.” How cool is Baker’s trademark scarf!
Each Doctor Who Mego style action figure has a limited edition run size of 3,000 pieces and comes individually packaged, but you can pre-order both figures as a set for $39.99 from Entertainment Earth here. The Fourth Doctor and Sontaran Field-Major Styre will make their debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2011, and will ship worldwide shortly thereafter (sometime in August 2011).

“Mickey's Service Station” Disney Screen Print by Tom Whalen
The fourth print in Mondo’s Disney Classic Cartoon Series will be released today, and it is entitled “Mickey’s Service Station.” Based on the 1935 cartoon of the same name, this screen print by Tom Whalen features classic versions of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy! Each new print in the series has included a new character, and this print is no different with its inclusion of Goofy. While not the focal point of “Mickey’s Service Station,” I really like Whalen’s take on Goofy with his really long and bending neck. Here’s hoping Whalen continues as the artist for these Disney Classic Cartoon prints, because I really like the continuity his unique style brings to the series.
“Mickey’s Service Station” by Tom Whalen is an 18"x24" hand numbered screen print with a limited edition run size of 370 pieces. The print will retail for $45 and go on sale at a random time on today, Friday, May 27th, at the Mondo online store.
