The 2011 San Diego Comic-Con is seriously shaping up to be Super7’s best, just check out this amazing Pink and Glow in the Dark Marbled Mongolion by L’amour Supreme! What an amazing effect for an already killer sculpt. This is definitely a must get for The Blot…if only I was going to SDCC this year. Little is known about the shadowy Mongolion’s existence, it is more rumor and legend than actual fact. But with this striking pink/GID look, how could you miss him!
The San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Exclusive Pink and Glow in the Dark Swirl Mongolion by L’amour Supreme will retail for $65 and can be purchased from Super7 at its SDCC booth #4729.
Super7 will be teaming up with Medicom at San Diego Comic-Con 2011 for the very first US release of Josh Herbolsheimer’s Earth Wolf! This figure is seriously incredible, and The Blot will never turn down the opportunity to buy cool glow in the dark toys! I love Josh’s unique art style, and Medicom has done an incredible job translating his Earth Wolf paintings into a 3D form. If you missed out on the original Earth Wolf release, here is your chance to finally add one to your collection! Cast in glow in the dark vinyl, this unpainted version of the 9” Earth Wolf will retail for $125 exclusively at the Super7 SDCC booth #4729.
The Blot’s been hearing rumors for weeks of a “mascot” sized Rose Vampire being grown in the deep dark soil beneath San Francisco. Then on Friday we learned those rumors were true when Super7 announced its San Diego Comic-Con 2011 line-up! Check out the very first colorway of Super7’s new Rose Vampire DX.
As you know, The Blot is a huge fan of Josh Herbolsheimer’s Rose Vampire, and this 6” version definitely takes his killer rose to the next level (it even includes a surprise accessory). Just look at the way it more closely resembles Josh’s artistic style! However, I’m really going to miss the Monster Family edition of this character and don’t know that I’ll be collecting the Rose Vampire DX with the same fervent passion I have the 4” version. The $65 price tag doesn’t help things either. Then again, how can I turn down the very first Rose Vampire DX!?!
The San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Exclusive Rose Vampire DX by Josh Herbolsheimer features glow in the dark vinyl with red and blue spray. Each figure retails for $65 and can be purchased from Super7 at its SDCC booth #4729.
The Blot is very sad to announce that the very last Monster Family scale 4” Rose Vampire will make its debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2011. I’ve known this day was coming for a while, but I can’t believe it’s actually time to say good-bye to my all time favorite toy. I’m going to miss this little guy but I guess the saying really is true: “All good things must come to an end.” Thankfully, every good ending also marks a new beginning (but more on that later today).
The final release of the Monster Family edition Rose Vampire is a tribute to the figure’s very first “Green Hell” release. Remade in clear green vinyl, the Green Hell Rose Vampire 2.0 will make its debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2011 before seeing it’s wide release shortly thereafter. Attendees of SDCC can purchase the Clear Green Rose Vampire by Josh Herbolsheimer at the Super7 SDCC booth #4729 for $35 each. The rest of us can try to get one at a later date via Super7’s online store.
