Toy2R 36” Qee Artist Series 2 Teaser Image by Jason Freeny.jpg

Big news yesterday regarding Toy2R and artist extraordinaire Jason Freeny! First up was the announcement that Freeny will one of five artists participating in Toy2R’s upcoming 36 inch Qee Artist Series 2 (see the first 3 teaser images for this series here). Hot on the heels of winning the Best Break Through Artist award at the 2011 Designer Toy Awards, Toy2R is proud to bring this oversized piece to life and offer an amazing collectible for those hardcore Freeny fans.

Jason joins Jon-Paul Kaiser, Emilio Garcia and David Horvath in Toy2R’s 36” Qee Artist Series 2. That just leaves one unknown artist in this exciting project. Any guesses!?! More info to come soon…

Clerks Screen Print by Tim Doyle

Clerks Standard Edition Screen Print by Tim Doyle

Kevin Smith’s debut film Clerks is one of The Blot’s all time favorite movies. There was a time I could quote the entire film line by line. I don’t get to watch the film as often as I’d like, but this is one of those events I’d kill to be at! Tonight Austin Books and Comics is flying in Brian “Dante” O'Halloran to be present at a screening of Clerks at the Blue Starlite Drive-In Theater in Austin, TX. To commemorate the event Austin Books and Comics commissioned Tim Doyle to design a print for the screening. Tim seriously did a great job with this print! It touches upon so many key moments of the film and includes some awesome Easter eggs, like the Death Star shaped moon in the top right hand corner.

Clerks Black & White Variant Screen Print by Tim Doyle

Clerks by Tim Doyle is a 16”×26” signed and numbered screen print. The Standard Edition has a limited edition run size of 325 pieces, while the Black and White Variant with metallic silver inks has a limited edition run size of 125 pieces. If you're in Austin, head to the Starlite Drive-In for the screening where you can pick up a print and meet the clerk of all clerks, Brian O’Halloran! Like The Blot, if you don’t live in Austin you can email or call Austin Books and Comics and they’ll place you on a waiting list to purchase the print. Any prints not sold over the weekend will be sold on a first-come first-served basis.
