Threadless The Legend of Zelda T-Shirt “URL Link”

I have to admit, The Blot totally skipped over this Threadless design when it first came out last week. I saw it, but at the time I thought it was just another video game inspired t-shirt. I’m a huge old school Nintendo fan, but it’s gotten to the point where there are very few new ideas out there. Then I just happened to take a closer look at the design yesterday and realized how truly wrong I was! The image on Threadless’ website really doesn’t do the design justice as it’s kinda hard to see, but basically “URL LINK” is Link from the Legend of Zelda made up from a website URL. I can’t believe it hasn’t been done before, because this design is genius!

Doctor Who Season 6, Part II One Sheet Television Poster

Doctor Who Season 6, Part II One Sheet Television Poster

The Blot’s been meaning to post this sweet looking one sheet television poster for Doctor Who Season 6, Part II for weeks, and if it didn’t happen today it was never going to happen at all. Why? Because this Saturday, August 27th, Doctor Who returns with all new episodes and The Blot can’t wait!!! I have to admit, I was not the biggest fan of Matt Smith’s Doctor at first. Season 5 didn’t really do it for me, and I waited a very long time to finally sit down and watch Season 6, Part I. But when I did just a few weeks ago, wow! It was truly excellent.

I think the show’s new creative team just needed a warm up season, because those first seven episodes were just nuts! I think it also helped that Alex Kingston’s River Song played such a significant role in Season 6. The Blot’s loved her ever since her days on ER as Dr. Elizabeth Corday and she's been fantastic as the mysterious River. I highly recommend tuning in to BBC America tomorrow night for the US premier of the Doctor Who episode "Let's Kill Hitler" (and every Saturday night thereafter) at 9/8c for a great sci-fi adventure!

Star Trek: The Motion Picture Screen Print by Daniel Danger

Star Trek: The Motion Picture Screen Print by Daniel Danger.jpg

Mondo continues its Star Trek Screen Print Series with this awesome Star Trek: The Motion Picture poster by Daniel Danger. The poster features the crew looking on in awe at the power of V'Ger. While there have been some really beautiful pieces in this series, Danger’s Star Trek I screen print takes the cake. In fact, this might be The Blot’s favorite Daniel Danger print ever! I just think the scene with its bright blue coloring really fits Danger’s dark and brooding style to a T. He really knocked this one out of the park!
