DrilOne’s “Greetings from Hell” Solo Art Exhibit at Dragatomi

DrilOne “Greetings from Hell” Solo Art Exhibit at Dragatomi Flyer

This Saturday, September 10th (that’s 9.10.11 to the cool kids), Dragatomi will be hosting DrilOne’s all new solo show “Greetings from Hell”. As an artist, DrilOne has mastered the art of elemental wear and corrosion, transforming plastic, vinyl and wood into corroded metal before our very eyes! And while he’s not the first to master this style (Mother Nature is also proficient at it), Drils has definitely taken it and made it a style all his own.

“Greetings from Hell” Solo Art Exhibit - Custom Vinyl Figures by DrilOne

DrilOne has pulled out all the stops for his upcoming solo custom figure art show. His works will feature his rusty style on several different platforms, from 3” and 8” Dunnys to a 16” Custom Toyer Qee. He has even customized an antique inspired sign and a vintage radio! The “Greetings from Hell” opening reception is this Saturday, September 10th at 7 pm and will continue to run until October 1st at Dragatomi in Sacramento, CA.

Disney Vinylmation Project Z Teaser Image

Disney Vinylmation - Project Z Vinyl Figure Teaser Image

For the past few weeks Disney Vinylmation has been running an online ARG to announce a new release entitled “Project Z.” The only information Disney has officially released about this mystery 3” vinyl figure is that it was designed by the talented Disney Design Group Artists Thomas Scott and Casey Jones…that is until yesterday!!! That’s when some super sleuths found the above picture, which The Blot can only assume is an all new Vinylmation platform. When might we find out more info on Project Z!?! Only time will tell, but head over to the official Project Z website for more hints!

Dumbo Screen Print by Tom Whalen

Mondo Disney Classic Cartoon Series - Dumbo Screen Print by Tom Whalen

Wow, another beautiful screen print in Mondo’s Disney Classic Cartoon Series by Tom Whalen is scheduled to drop later today and all I can think about is where does Tom find the time to create all these killer posters? In my honest opinion Dumbo is one of Disney’s woefully underrated classics. I used to love watching this film with my parents, but I think it’s time spent in the Disney vault (and its lack of a princess) has hurt its standing in the pantheon of Disney animated films. Out of sight, out of mind I guess. But man, does this print bring back the memories. And just think, when I first watched it as a kid it was already 40 years old!

Dumbo by Tom Whalen is a 6 color 24”x36” screen print, it has a limited edition run size of 395 pieces and will retail for $50. This classic Disney movie poster goes on sale at the Mondo online store today, Friday, September 9th, at a random time.
