Fellow comic book fan Blair Campbell (one of The Blot’s favorite tweeters and a great artist) came up with this awesome t-shirt design as a tribute to the new Animal Man series by writer Jeff Lemire and artist Travel Foreman. Animal Man #1 was released last week as a part of the newly rebooted DC Universe and it instantly became one of the company’s hottest titles. Disney Vinylmation Park Starz Series 1

For those of you wondering just what Disney’s “Project Z” was all about, you’re in luck! The mystery was finally unveiled at the Florida Project over the weekend. It’s the code name for the upcoming Vinylmation Park Starz blind box series, which takes classic characters from Disney Theme Parks around the world and reinterprets them as unique collectible vinyl figures. Created by Disney Design Group artists Thomas Scott and Casey Jones, Park Starz Series 1 includes 11 characters and one “mystery chaser” figure. Unlike previous Vinylmation Series, each of the 12 figures in Park Starz Series 1 will be completely different.

With that being said, the first four characters announced in Disney’s Vinylmation Park Starz Series 1 are Yeti, Big Al, Squid and Figment. For this series Thomas and Jones made sure to pick popular characters from Disney’s many theme parks, some of whom are seldom seen on Disney merchandise making this truly a unique release! Disney Vinylmation Park Starz Series 1 will be released in mid to late October 2011. More details to come!!!
