The Blot was recently introduced to Skelecore Apparel and Accessories, which puts the modern macabre into your everyday wear! Skelecore Apparel includes original work by owner and artist Sara Antoinette Martin. Many of you might be familiar with Sara’s work, she’s been a part of the designer toy and pop culture scene for over half a decade. The Blot first learned of her work when Kidrobot produced Sara’s El Chupacabra vinyl figure back in 2008. I really dig how she’s taken her tattoo designs and translated them into mesmerizing Skelecore t-shirts, bags and prints. You can check out the entire Skelecore collection at Sara Antoinette Martin’s online store or at one of her upcoming shows: Nov 18th at the Cotton Candy Machine or Dec 2nd at Mishka NYC.

NYCC 2011 Exclusive GID Big Kid Vinyl Figure by Johnny Cupcakes
The Blot just got word that Johnny Cupcakes’ first vinyl figure will be making its world debut at New York Comic-Con and I am so stoked!!! The NYCC 2011 Exclusive Glow in the Dark Big Kid vinyl figure stands nearly 6” tall and has a limited edition run size of only 225 pieces. I love how spot on the figure is to Big Kid's look from JC t-shirts over the years, and that the Cupcake and Crossbones logo is raised on his chest. I can't wait until some customizers get their hands this unpainted figure of Johnny Cupcakes' official mascot.
Stop by the Johnny Cupcakes NYCC booth next week to pick one up. JC will also have 2 other Big Kid colorways available, as well as blind-boxed Cupcake+Crossbones toys! The Blot is so bummed I won’t be able to see these in person, but I can’t wait to see some pics of all of Johny Cupcakes’ new toys.
