Fantastic Phosphorescence Drunk Seijin & Skulletor Pocket Mummy Boy

Super7 Skulletor Pocket Mummy Boy & Fantastic Phosphorescence Drunk Seijin by KaToPe.jpg

Super7 was not kidding when they said October was going to be a busy month. They start things up with two very exciting releases: the Skulletor Pocket Mummy Boy and the Fantastic Phosphorescence Drunk Seijin! Shining bright, the all seeing and all knowing Drunk Seijin is ready to lead the way through the gloominess of fall. KaToPe's Fantastic Phosphorescence Drunk Seijin is cast in glow in the dark vinyl highlighted by green, metallic blue and purple sprays.

Dressed as his favorite cartoon villain, Pocket Mummy Boy is ready to conquer your collection and learn all its secrets so he can take over the universe. Super7's Masters of the Universe inspired Skulletor Pocket Mummy Boy is cast in blue vinyl accented by bark blue, yellow and red sprays. These Drunk Seijin ($35) and Pocket Mummy Boy ($25) vinyl figures go on sale this Friday, October 7th, at noon Pacific at the Super7 online store.

The Butcher Kings Art Show by Alex Pardee & Skinner

The Butcher Kings Art Show by Alex Pardee and Skinner at Gallery1988 Melrose

Tonight, is opening night for "The Butcher Kings," Californians Alex Pardee and Skinner's newest demented brain child and what Gallery1988 Melrose is calling their “craziest exhibition yet.” Living and painting together for almost 3 weeks, Pardee and the Skinnman have created over 80 original pieces (all priced between $300 - $1,000) that skewer, destroy, exploit and abolish most of your childhood memories…each funnier, sicker and more exciting than the next. There will also be a small book available containing most of the pieces from the show, so definitely check that out!

The Blot has been dying to see what these two amazing artists have been working on as none of the pieces have been shown to the public, not even a sneak peek or official preview prior to tonight’s reception. Although I have to give “The Butcher Kings” credit, they’ve done an amazing job hyping up this art show with a series crazy YouTube videos. Thankfully our long wait to see what these two have been working on is almost over, as the artwork will be available online tomorrow on the Gallery 1988 website. Please keep in mind this show will have graphic and sexual imagery on display and is not suggested for young viewers.

The Butcher Kings art show by Alex Pardee and Skinner opens tonight, Thursday, October 6th, at Gallery1988 with a reception from 7-10pm. The show will run through October 29th.

NYCC 2011 Exclusive Skinner x LASH Custom Ollie Vinyl Figures

New York Comic-Con 2011 Exclusive Cusotm Ollie Vinyl Figures by Skinner

While The Blot doesn’t know much, all signs point to some crazy hand painted figures showing up at Lulubell Toy Bodega’s New York Comic-Con booth next week. According to a few sly tweets, it sounds like Skinner and LASH (of Mutant Hardcore Vinyl) have teamed up for a truly killer collaboration! Just check out these pics from Skinner of the 12 Ollie vinyl figures he painted up in his signature style. Half in orange, half in green… all are psychedelically bad ass! If you’ve never seen one of LASH’s Ollies in person, let me just tell you they are massive. And from the pictures it’s clear the paint on this Ollie series from Skinner is crazy! Be sure to look out for these bad boys as you’re walking around the convention center next week at NYCC.
