Halloween 2011 GID Ugly Unicorn Sofubi Vinyl Figures by Rampage Toys

If you follow The Blot on Twitter then you know I’ve been patiently awaiting the full reveal of Jon Malmstedt’s (of Rampage Toys) Halloween 2011 Glow in the Dark Ugly Unicorn release ever since he first teased this GID colorway a few weeks ago. This Halloween 2011 release is definitely Jon’s most complex painted run to date, with each GID Ugly Unicorn featuring a crazy amount of stenciling and some awesome brush-work. I love Jon’s use of stencils, and can’t get over how awesome the skull in Ugly Unicorn’s hair looks.

The Halloween 2011 GID Ugly Unicorn by Rampage Toys has a limited edition run size of just 5 figures and will come bagged with a glow in the dark screen printed header card. These will drop sometime in the morning on Halloween at the Rampage Toys online store. I’d wish you good luck snagging one of these batty Ugly Unicorns, but I don’t want you beating me out for this release! ;)

OMFG! Mini Figure Series 1 Kickstarter Exclusive Sets by October Toys

The Blot got an email yesterday from October Toys giving everyone who donated to their Kickstarter project an update on their soon to be released OMFG! (Outlandish Mini Figure Guys) Series 1 from October Toys. After nearly two months in production the first five OMFG! mini figures are almost ready to be unleashed upon the world and they look fantastic! Here are photos of the Kickstarter exclusive flesh and black OMFG! Series 1 sets straight from the factory.

OMFG! Series 1 consists of five figures including: Multiskull designed and sculpted by Charles Marsh (aka Monsterforge), Crawdad Kid designed and sculpted by Daniel Yu (aka Dory), Phantom Outhouse designed by Kyle Thye and sculpted by Ralph Niese, King Castor designed and sculpted by Dominic Campisi (aka The Evil Earwig), and Stroll designed by John "Spanky" Stokes and sculpted by George Gaspar.

Vampire Treature Erectus Resin Figure by Motorbot

After the popularity of Motorbot’s Trick or Teeth Halloween Mini Figure Series, the Dallas artist thought he should take things to the next level by turning his 2” Vampire Tiny Teeth Treature into a full blown Vampire Erectus! Standing a massive 7” tall, the Vampire Treature Erectus features a rotocast resin body with two solid resin arms and some seriously large incisors!

Pick up one of these hand painted figures today for just $60 at the Deadbear online store. Only five Vampire Erectus resin figures were created, and if you order one by October 27th you’ll be sure to get it before Halloween.

Pearl Jam Twenty Faithfull Ale by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery

This is one of those unexpected releases that totally blows The Blot’s mind. As a huge Pearl Jam fan I’m always excited about new PJ merchandise, but I never thought I’d be drinking official Pearl Jam beer. Eddie Vedder wine possibly, but definitely not beer. Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is proud to announce the release of Pearl Jam Twenty Faithfull Ale!

Faithfull Ale is a celebration of Pearl Jam's 20th anniversary as a band and its extraordinary debut album Ten. In recognition of these milestones, this Belgian-style golden ale is delicately hopped to 20 IBUs and fruit-forward from 10 incremental additions of black currants over a one-hour boil. Faithfull will clock in at 7% ABV. I have no idea what most of that means, but I’ll definitely be hunting for a 6-pack of Faithfull Ale in the next few weeks. It officially started shipping to all of the states in which Dogfish Head currently does business last week.

As Dogfish Head President & Founder Sam Calagione stated in the Faithful Ale press release, "To me, Ten is the perfect example of a record-lover's-record. The whole thing rocks. As an off-centered brewery, we believe in celebrating the breadth of our whole portfolio and we feel an affinity for Pearl Jam a long-player band in a singles-obsessed world."

Dogfish Head also found inspiration in Pearl Jam's ethics, community-building and commitment to putting music before commerce. In recognition of this refreshing approach, Dogfish is donating $20,000 to The Nature Conservancy to aide in its efforts to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth.
