Men in Black III Teaser Movie Posters

Men in Black III Teaser Character One Sheet Movie Posters - Will Smith as Agent J

Is it me, or does Men in Black III have disaster written all over it? Legit sequels released ten years after the last installment are never good and rarely successful. Plus, while Will Smith is still one of the last remaining movie stars with real summer blockbuster potential, he hasn’t released a hyped summer film in years. Sadly our society is “what have you done for me lately,” and lately Hollywood’s been all about Jaden Smith not Will Smith. With that being said, these MiB3 teaser character one sheet movie posters are pretty cool looking (even if there’s not much to them). The only negative I can say is neither image really looks like the actor it is intended to be.

Toy Review: Kickstarter Edition Treature Erectus Resin Figure by Motorbot

Kickstarter Edition Treature Erectus Resin Figure by Motorot

While The Blot was in Dallas for Thanksgiving I got a very exciting package from Motorbot full of some crazy looking, never before seen resin figures! The toys inside were my reward for helping fund Motorbot’s Kickstarter project earlier this year and they were well worth the wait. The highlight of my Kickstarter set is one of Motorbot’s newest creations, the 7” Treature Erectus. I’ve blogged about the Treature Erectus a few times, but I thought a proper review was in store after finally seeing one in person.

Like most of you, The Blot has a hard time gauging just how big or small a figure is. For instance, a 20” Dunny is a much larger figure than the 20” Doze Green Kidrobot Black figure. So I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to find out the Treature is a massive7-8 inches tall. As you can see from the photo below, it’s almost as tall as an 8” Dunny and equally as wide. The detailing of the Treature Erectus is also impressive.

It features Motorbot’s trademark monster teeth and doll eyes, and has incredibly wrinkled skin that resembles the skin of an elephant. Be sure to check out the figure’s back, which really highlight’s Motorbot sculpting skills. But by far the most impressive aspect of the Treature Erectus is its arm joints. This rotocast figure has two points of articulation and some of the smoothest movement I’ve seen in a handmade resin toy. Motorbot’s skills have definitely come a long way since his last resin figure with arm articulation (2010’s The Outsider).

But I haven’t even mentioned the best part of the Treature Erectus, this 7-8 inch handmade, hand painted rotocast figure can be yours for just $60! Now that’s a price that can’t be beat. Pick one up from the Deadbear Studios online store today or contact Motorbot about commissioning a one of a kind Treature Erectus.

Night of the Living Dead Screen Print by Grzegorz Domaradzki

George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead Standard Edition Screen Print by Grzegorz Domaradzki

Every once in a while The Blot writes a blog post that gets lost in the queue and never gets published. It’s almost always 100% my fault, and sadly this awesome screen print had to pay the price. But better late than never!!! Check out this awesome movie poster by Grzegorz Domaradzki for George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead. Grzegorz took six months to meticulously craft this striking image and it definitely shows. I especially love the composition of the poster, which uses all of the film’s cast to create a skull.

Rainbow Custom Mummy Boy by D-LuX

Super7 - Rainbow Custom Mummy Boy Vinyl Figure by D-LuX

As you all know, Super7 is currently holding a “Design Your Own Mummy Boy” custom contest where the winner gets their design turned into a production figure. Honestly, after seeing this figure the contest should be canceled, because this custom Rainbow Mummy Boy absolutely kills!!! Now The Blot hasn’t seen anyone else’s design yet and sadly D-LuX won’t be submitting this to the contest, but how sick are the colors and fades on this Mummy Boy!?! D used seven colors in all (metallic red, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue and purple), topped off with gobs of color change flake and high gloss paint all on metallic silver vinyl.

I really wish Black Friday hadn’t just come and gone, because otherwise I totally would have scooped up this sick one of a kind custom figure. Lucky for the rest of you, this seven color Rainbow Mummy Boy is still available for purchase from the D-LuX online store for $100. Someone needs to buy this immediately to save me from temptation.
