The Amazing Spider-Man “The Untold Story” Teaser Movie Poster

The Amazing Spider-Man “The Untold Story” Teaser One Sheet Movie Poster

After months of very little news on The Amazing Spider-Man (The Blot’s withholding judgment on the so-called Lizard leaks until I see real photos), Sony dropped this pretty cool teaser one sheet movie poster. I dig the image because it’s what a teaser image is supposed to be…it gives you a very little taste and leaves you wanting more. And while most of him is hidden in the shadows, you can unmistakably make out Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker in the poster. I also like that the one sheet’s catch phrase, “The Untold Story”, lets you know the film is an origin story but won’t just be rehashing what we’ve seen before. It actually gives The Blot a glimmer of hope this film could be entertaining, because the last thing I want to see is another origin story. We got that in spades last summer with Thor, Green Lantern and Captain America.

The Amazing Spider-Man premieres on July 3, 2012.

The Dark Knight Rises “The Legend Ends” Teaser Movie Poster

The Dark Knight Rises “The Legend Ends” Teaser One Sheet Movie Poster

The Blot’s shocked that Bane is featured so prominently in The Dark Knight Rises’ advertising campaign. I should have realized when Warner Bros. unveiled his new look so early on that they would be using him a lot, but we’ve seen more of Tom Hardy’s Bane than we have Christian Bale’s Batman. And here I thought Bane was more of a secondary villain. It looks like we might have a reenactment of DC's “breaking of the bat” in this film after all!

The Dark Knight Rises premieres on July 20, 2012.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation First Official Trailer

Here it is, the world’s first look at G.I. Joe 2! As a little kid in the ‘80s, G.I. Joe was hands down my favorite toy line. I couldn’t get enough of those 3.75” action figure and cheesy cartoon…and I still can’t! While the first film wasn’t great (actually it was pretty horrible), I still liked it for nostalgic purposes. Thankfully G.I. Joe: Retaliation looks more like what I had hoped the first movie would be…lots of action, ninjas, a Cobra Commander with a helmet and chrome faceplate, and Roadblock!

While I hate the fact that Scarlett is M.I.A. and Duke looks to have a reduced role, how can you hate on a G.I. Joe live action movie that features Snake Eyes, Roadblock, Flint, Lady Jaye, Jinx and Storm Shadow so prominently!?! I’m sure I’ve already said too much, so before I give away the entire first official movie trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation go watch it for yourself!

G.I. Joe: Retaliation is scheduled to premiere in theaters June 2012.

FatCap Series 3 by Kidrobot

FatCap Series 3 by Kidrobot

It’s been so long since Kidrobot has had a FatCap release, I honestly thought the line may have been done for good. Then word leaked out yesterday that Kidrobot will be releasing a third FatCap series next month and graffiti fans everywhere rejoiced! FatCap Series 3 will feature 18 rad designs by artists new and old, and pushes the platform like never before. The Blot is especially excited to see three of my favorite artists finally get some love from Kidrobot: JPK, Scribe and kaNO!

FatCap Series 3 by Kidrobot

With a custom show feel, each member of the series reaches beyond the boundaries in graphics and sculpt, making FatCap crazier, hairier, cuter, meaner, and more human than ever before. Plus, three mystery chase figures means you really don’t know what you will get… but rest assured, it will be epic! Fatcap Series 3 includes designs by Devious, Flying Fortress, Jon Paul Kaiser, Julie West, kaNO, Kronk, MCA, Montana Colors, Pez, Queen Andrea, Quisp, Scribe, Shok 1 and Sket One.

Available starting January 26, 2012, each Fatcap Series 3 blind box retails for $9.95 and can be purchased at Kidrobot stores, kidrobot.com and select retailers worldwide. Also, while supplies last receive a free “Cover the Cap” FatCap by Sket One in North America or a “Almost Gone” FatCap by Scribe everywhere else with the purchase of a case!
