The Dark Knight Bat-Pod with Batman & The Joker Mini Mez-Itz Vehicle Set

Mezco Toyz - The Dark Knight Bat-Pod with Batman & The Joker Mini Mez-Itz Vehicle Set

Mezco Toyz continues its line of The Dark Knight toys with this vehicle set featuring a 2” Batman Mini Mez-Itz, a Joker 2” Mini Mez-Itz and the Bat-Pod (which premiered in The Dark Knight). Now you can recreate in your very own home one of the greatest movies of all time! While The Blot may have hated the Tumbler, I have to admit the Bat-Pod is pretty freaking sweet. I would personally love to cruise around town in one of these bad boys.

I’ve still yet to see any of Mezco’s Mini Mez-Itz vehicles in person, but in general I’ve been very impressed with Mezco's line of Mez-Itz vinyl figures. I stumbled upon some of their Mini Mez-Itz keychains and the figures looked pretty cool considering they’re 2” tall. The 2 inch Batman and Joker Mini Mez-Itz vinyl figures feature all the coolness and articulation of its larger counterpart at 1/3 the size. Batman can also fit atop the “legendary” Bat-Pod as he attempts to catch the Clown Prince.

The Dark Knight Bat-Pod with Batman and The Joker Mini Mez-Itz Vehicle Set is not scheduled to ship until April 2012, but you can pre-order one here from EntertainmentEarth.com for $20.99.

Papa Sama Jellyswordsman by Erick Scarecrow

ESC Toy - Papa Sama Jellyswordsman by Erick Scarecrow

ESC Toy’s last release for 2011 is here, and it’s the Papa Sama Jelly Swordsman resin figure by Erick Scarecrow! This 6.5" resin figure comes with two weapon accessories, a Miruku Mace and an Armor Dicer Sword, and includes attachable resin wings and a hat that gently plug into the figure. This beautiful blue and pink clear tint colorway is pretty awesome looking, and it might just be The Blot new favorite resin figure from ESC! Papa Sama Jellyswordsman has a limited edition run size of only 30 pieces, retails for $75 and can be purchased now at the ESC Toy online store.

Papa Sama Jellyswordsman Origin Story: An Infamous guard in the Pixella Castle, the Jelly Swordsman shape shifts from plasma to his natural form, thus lurking in the darkest corridors remaining unseen. His specialty is lunging on his victims from above with a surprise attack. In charge of guarding the Pixella Castle's Next Level door, the Jelly Swordsman defeated many intruders. A double hit from his special mace and sword can transform intruders into ghouls that will obey his command.

As time passed, the Jelly Swordsman grew really bored. Instead of practicing his swordsmanship, he overslept and watched bad late night B-movies. One evening a young girl named Armora with her pet dragon Dragovo happened to stumble upon the castle. They searched all the rooms desperately for an exit to return home. Armora and Dragovo came across one room with a door marked the Next Level. They fought past the ghouls to reach it. The ruckus awakened the Jelly Swordsman. His tail wiggled as he watched the intruders dispatch all his ghouls. After Armora and Dragovo cleared the room of ghouls, the Jelly Swordsman grabbed his weapons, took a breath mint and made his entrance.

Batman: Black & White Statue by Sam Kieth

DC Direct - Batman: Black & White Statue by Sam Kieth

While DC Direct’s line of Batman: Black and White statues are incredibly popular, The Blot’s never been all that into them. Then again, there’s never been a Batman: Black and White statue designed by Sam Kieth before! I’m a sucker for all things Sam Kieth, and this statue is crazy good. I love how sculptor Jonathan Matthews was able to so perfectly capture Kieth’s brilliantly twisted drawing of Batman into a fully fleshed out 3D statue.

DC Direct - Batman: Black & White Statue by Sam Kieth

The Batman: Black and White statue by Sam Kieth measures 5.5" high x 6" wide x 5" deep, and matches the previous figures in this series with its moody, monochromatic color scheme. Collectors can purchase one of these beautiful statues for $80 beginning March 21, 2012.

“Sleeping Beauty” Once Upon A Time Screen Print by Kevin Tong

Mondo Once Upon A Time Print Series - “Snow White” Standard Edition Screen Print by Kevin Tong

It’s Thursday, so that means it’s time for a new release in Mondo’s Once Upon A Time Screen Print Series by Kevin Tong! This week’s print is based on the Grimm’s Fairy Tale “Snow White” and while I hate to say it, it leaves much to be desired. While The Blot likes Tong’s use of silhouettes in these prints based on ABC’s hit television show Once Upon A Time, I just wish he had done something more with this one. A house with a smoking chimney really doesn’t scream “Snow White” to me.

Mondo Once Upon A Time Print Series - “Snow White” Gold Variant Screen Print by Kevin Tong

Each Once Upon A Time 18"x24" hand numbered screen print by Kevin Tong will have a Standard Edition with metallic ink and a limited edition run size of 225 prints, plus 95 metallic Gold Variants. The Standard Edition “Snow White” screen print will retail for $40, while the Gold Variant will retail for $65. These posters will go on sale at a random time today, Thursday, December 29th, at the Mondo online store.
