Peter Wheatstraw Goral (of Killer Bootlegs) has recruited a motley crew of artists, graffiti writers, stencil/street artists, tattoo artists, and screen printers to create a new carded Black Book Edition Artist Series of Killer Bootlegs’ popular Vintage Art-Too bootleg Star Wars action figure. Art-Too, which was initially a collaboration between Killer Bootlegs and U.K. based graffiti writer Hoakser, is a cast from a vintage R2-D2 Kenner action figure and was redesigned to resemble an old school Krylon can.
Blank blistercards were shipped all over the country to create this exciting new Art-Too Artist Series. Artists were given the theme of Star Wars, hip-hop and graffiti, and told to go nuts with their designs and it definitely shows! All of the packaging designs in this series are seriously sick and do a great job tying the themes together. The artists involved in Killer Bootlegs’ Art-Too Black Book Edition Artist Series include Cash Cannon, Corey Hagburg , Dan Moorman, Eddie Fajardo, Emmanuel L White Eagle, James Ford, Jarrod Hennis, John Santagada, Joseph Goral, Laurence Barr, Manny Tang, Michael Lara, Ryan Lape and Nasty Neil of Wasted Talent.
The Killer Bootlegs Blackbook Edition Artist Series Art-Too Bootleg Star Wars Carded Action Figures are currently available for purchase via Tenacious Toys’ online store where each one of a kind Art-Too can be purchased for $75.
