Tomenosuke Exclusive Green Hornet Dragon King by kaNO

Kuso Vinyl and kaNO have teamed up with Tomenosuke to release a very special Dragon King variant! The Green Hornet Dragon King is Tomenosuke exclusive and pays homage to Bruce Lee’s role as Kato in the original The Green Hornet television series. No word yet if this figure will only be available in Japan or if Tomenosuke will ship worldwide, but how great is this colorway!?! The Blot loves color schemes inspired by superheroes, and the Green Hornet and Kato are definitely underutilized characters. I blame the horrible Seth Rogen live action movie, but come on…how many other heroes can say they were actually in the 1960s era Batman TV show?

New Year’s Eve Black & GID Marbled Pumpkin Boy by Super7

For the second year in a row, Super7 held a surprise release of an all new colorway of the company's mascot Mummy Boy on New Year’s Eve. Although this year there was a slight twist…instead of a Mummy Boy, it was a Pumpkin Boy (same body, different head). At the stroke of midnight (PST), Super7 released the unannounced new figure, a Pumpking Boy made from black and glow in the dark swirled vinyl with sprayed details. The Blot is a sucker for any figure made of marbled vinyl (i.e. two different colored vinyls swirled together) and what’s better than black with GID!?!

The NYE Black and Glow Swirled Pumpkin Boy figure retails for $50 each and is on sale now at the Super7 online store (while supplies last). However, this is a pre-sale and the actual figure won’t ship until February 2012.

Nickelodeon x Johnny Cupcakes Collection Episode3 - Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Hey Arnold! & Angry Beavers

The third and final wave of Nickelodeon x Johnny Cupcakes t-shirts were released last weekend and I know a few Nick fans were super excited about these designs! Three t-shirts were included in JCxNICK Wave 3, each featuring a different popular Nick television show. There is a black Are You Afraid of the Dark? t-shirt, a dark blue Hey Arnold! t-shirt, and a light blue Angry Beavers t-shirt.

To be totally honest, these shows aired a little past my Nickelodeon watching days so the nostalgic factor is at an all time low with these designs. That isn’t to say they’re not strong t-shirts, but having never seen any of these shows I’m not as drawn to Episode 3 of the Nickelodeon x Johnny Cupcakes Collection as I normally would be. I am really digging the Hey Arnold!'s musical theme though.
