Yesterday was a huge day for the marketing of Marvel’s The Avengers. Not only did they unveil this awesome (yet a little over photoshopped) theatrical one sheet movie poster, but they also released the incredible trailer seen below. I love how they have all seven members of the Avengers are featured prominently in the poster. I still always expect Hawkeye, Black Widow and Nick Fury to be shown off in the background of the film’s promotional stills, but here they are featured front and center. They’re arguably even bigger than Captain America (kinda weird don’t you think?). And I know media folk never want to cover the faces of the movie’s biggest stars, but can Iron Man and Captain America put their helmest/masks on!?!
As for the trailer, if watching this doesn’t get you excited to see The Avengers this summer nothing will! It’s pretty much the best super hero trailer I’ve ever seen. I’m especially digging how Marvel is doing the SFX for the incredible Hulk. It makes him look so much more lifelike, especially since presumably he’ll be interacting with more human sized characters in this film than in his own two films.
