Just like they were when you were a kid, only BIGGER! The newest jumbo vintage Star Wars action figure reproduction to be released by Gentle Giant was announced earlier this week, and surprisingly it’s the virtually unknown Death Star Droid. The Blot honestly didn’t even remember this figure was included in Kenner’s original wave of Star Wars figures, and I can’t imagine demand for this one will be all that high.

Digitally scanned from mint Kenner originals and reproduced to a substantial 12" tall, this Jumbo Vintage Kenner Star Wars Death Star Droid action figure by Gentle Giant is an exact replica of the classic ‘70s toy! Injection molded and made of durable plastics, this jumbo figure is even fully vac-metallized just like the original, and comes packaged on a 1977 style Star Wars inspired blister card with a plastic outer clam shell to help protect and display this awesome action figure.

You all know The Blot goes absolutely nuts over ink blot designs, so one featuring DC Comics’ iconic Man of Steel becomes an automatic must buy, especially when it’s from Threadless! The Superman inspired t-shirt “It’s a Bird? It’s a Plane?” is just awesome in every way. I love how artist Eduardo San Gil took the old saying “It’s a Bird? It’s a Plane? No, it’s Superman!” and translated it into a symmetrical amalgamation of a bird and plane hybrid with Superman in the middle. It’s just spot on enough, while not exactly being Superman to work as an unlicensed design.

Art Attack Toys is set to release its first ever exclusive this April Fool’s Day and it’s a doozy! Meet Dr. Morkenstein, the third Mork colorway by MAD and Pobber Toys! Dr. Morkenstein is supposedly what he looks like after he got turned into Prisoner #913, the evil half of the Mork Twins. Mork is The Blot’s favorite vinyl figure in the past year and this color scheme is super slick with glossy black details on a matte black body.

The Dr. Morkenstein vinyl figure features a black body with midnight black star designs all over, the word BEWARE on the back of his helmet, and the radioactive logo on his hands with the word DANGER on his cuffs.
