UK artist Jon Paul Kaiser will be returning to the US for New York Comic-Con once again and this time he’s got something very special in store. On the opening night of NYCC 2012 there will be what The Blot can only assume from the teaser image above is a Star Wars themed show held at Yoyamart in conjunction with Toy2R. JPK has been releasing some amazing Star Wars customs over the past few years, and I can only imagine what he has in store for this event. Personally I would love a JPK Boba Fett production Qee, but that might only be a pipe dream! More details to come…

Marvel’s marketing department took those kinda lame The Avengers international one sheet movie posters and turned them into pretty sweet international movie banners. It’s amazing what a different format and a little photoshopping can do! I absolutely love the Avengers team banner above. It’s got everything I loved about the movie posters and got rid of everything I hated. Plus this is the first time we see Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill as a part of the team. My biggest complaint about these The Avengers movie banners? How fake the backgrounds look. Worst explosions in a poster ever!
Marvel's The Avengers assemble in theaters this summer on May 4, 2012.

Yesterday DC Comics made a surprising unveiling, giving the world its first look at Stephen Ameel as Green Arrow from The CW’s pilot (and hopefully new series) Arrow. Evidently the character is now going by just “Arrow,” which I think is a little hokey, but man does he look bad ass in this suit designed by three-time Oscar winning costume designer Colleen Atwood. One exciting tidbit is that the show is going back to Oliver Queen’s original origin! The pilot episode catches up with former billionaire playboy Oliver Queen after he returns to civilization after being marooned for five years on a remote island. With a mysterious agenda and a lethal set of new skills, Oliver wages a one man war on crime.
Super7 is holding a little get together to celebrate its newest Monster Family member, Frederick the Beetle by Bwana Spoons! Bwana Spoons's Frederick Fest takes place this Saturday, March 24th, at 11am PST at the Super7 Store. Bwana will even be on hand to party it up with some original art, hand-painted customs and fun party games. This sounds like a pretty cool event, and The Blot is excited to finally check out Bwana’s long rumored Frederick the Beetle.
All smiles and giving away free hugs, Bwana Spoons’ Fields of Green Frederick the Beetle is cast in green vinyl with blue, dark green, white, yellow and red sprays. Pick one up online at the Super7 store for just $35 each.
