Amun-ny Ra Custom Mini Munny by Kevin Gosselin

Yesterday Kevin Gosselin unveiled this beautiful custom mini Munny commissioned by a private collector. The Egyptian inspired Amun-ny Ra is truly stunning, and thanks to the agreement Kevin struck with the collector he is permitted to make (and sell) a limited series of resin casts based on the original custom figure. Each resin Amun-ny Ra Mini Munny has been individually hand painted and weathered with care, and comes signed and numbered by the artist. As the story goes, Amun-ny Ra is the king of Gods and holds the ankh, the key of life.

Every Amun-ny Ra also includes its own resin base inscribed with Egyptian hieroglyphs. The 4 obelisks read "1 Munny KidRobot, Kevin Gosselin, 2012" and the client's name. The base is inscribed with the words "Tell me why I had to be a power slave?" These are the words to an Iron Maiden song that inspired Kevin while he was creating the piece. While 10 Amun-ny-Ra resin figures were created in all, only 8 will be sold to the public and go on sale at Gosselin’s online store this Saturday, April 14th, at 10am PST for $225 each.

Spike Wad Vinyl Figure by Jeff Lamm

The highly anticipated Spike Wad by Jeff Lamm was released by Unbox Industries yesterday and is now available to wreak havoc on your toy shelf! Spike Wad continues the "pop and play" mechanic Unbox Industries used when creating Lamm’s M5 and Stee-Gar, thus allowing you to mix up all three monsters into your own hideous creation.

Spike Wad is a large mutant spider whose origins are unknown. Some say he first appeared in the area of the Large Hadron Collider on the border of France and Switzerland. He was given the military nomenclature “Spider Quad” which was shortened to “Spi-Quad” and finally “Spike Wad.” The volcano-like protrusions on its back appear to be a defensive mechanism, the larger ones can extend and shoot gelatinous balls of a gooey substance. The three large eyes give it excellent nocturnal vision, with a sort of thermal imaging view. The teeth can deliver a paralyzing venom if a bite is made, although the teeth are too big to penetrate a human being.

Packed in a Polybag with header card illustrated by Jeff Lamm, there are currently five different Spike Wad colorways available via the Unbox Industires online store. Each colorway (Bloo, Black Hole, Absinthe, Satsuma and Claw Editions) retails for $45, although the glow in the dark Absinthe edition is already sold out. Capture one while you still can!

Fur Face Boy 2012 Baseball Series T-Shirt Collection

The great American pastime kicked off last week, which means we’re in for a very long and dull summer sports season. Next month the fourth wave of Blox vinyl figures from Funko will be hitting stores and this time Funko’s added a new dimension to its popular line of flat and chunky vinyl figures. For this Star Wars Blox release, Funko has added one point of articulation to each figure by making them bobble heads!

Star Wars Blox Wave 1 includes Darth Vader, Boba Fett and a Stormtrooper. Each Star Wars Blox vinyl figure bobble head stands 7” tall, is 2” thick and comes packaged in a full color displayable window box. These chunky figures are not scheduled to hit store shelves until May 2012, but you can pre-order all three figures from Entertainment Earth for just $19.99 each here.

Zombie Meatster Bunny Resin Figure by Motorbot

In honor of Easter, Motorbot released a limited edition wave of Zombie Meatster Bunnys! Each of these clear resin figures features a pink resin brain in its stomach. The only question is whose brain is it? This special Easter release will never be made again, and unfortunately these all sold out almost instantly upon release. They turned out pretty awesome though, don’t you think!?!
