Johnny Cupcakes April Fools’ Day 2012 T-Shirt Collection

Johnny Cupcakes April Fools’ Day T-Shirt Collection - “Upside Down Crossbones” & “All I Got Was This Shirt” T-Shirts

As you can probably imagine, thousands of people have wandered into Johnny Cupcakes’ retail locations over the years looking for cupcakes. Much to their chagrin, they never find what they’re looking for. Well on April 1st, 2012 that all changed! For April Fools’ Day this year, Johnny decided to pull a fast one and replace all of his t-shirts with actual cupcakes (made by none other than Charm City Cakes, who The Blot adores!). To commemorate this prank two fun t-shirt designs were created, an Upside Down Crossbones and the “I Went To Johnny Cupcakes And All I Got Was This Shirt.”

Both of these Johnny Cupcakes April Fools’ Day inspired t-shirts are currently on sale at the Johnny Cupcakes online store for $35.99. The shirts are available in both men's and women’s styles, sizes S-3XL.

The Avengers International Movie Poster

The Avengers International One Sheet Movie Poster

The Blot doesn’t usually post region specific international movie posters, but I made an exception for this latest Avengers one sheet. There is something seriously weird about its composition, and yet I really like! I can’t think of another poster or ad that features all of the heroes in their secret identities in the foreground with them wearing their more recognizable costumes shadowed in the background. What really throws it off for me is how unnecessary it is since four of the six Avengers don’t even wear masks. Is seeing these actors in their street clothes really that enticing? And why is the Hulk so obscured? Then again, the movie poster wasn’t made to appeal to me so maybe I’m missing the point. Is it a cultural thing perhaps?

Marvel's The Avengers assemble in theaters this summer on May 4, 2012.
