Threadless Star Wars Boba Fett T-Shirt “Slave Two”

Slave Two by John Tibbott

Star Wars Day 2012 may have come and gone, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still be sporting the finest Star Wars shirts a geek can find. Thankfully Threadless just released a ton of new Star Wars inspired designs, including this awesome Boba Fett x Volkswagaon “Slave Two” t-shirt! I guess the rumors are true, Boba Fett’s other vehicle is a VW bus. Who knew Boba was a closet hippy! As you all know The Blot is a huge Boba Fett fan, so even though I’m typically anti-black t-shirts this release was an instant buy.

The Star Wars Boba Fett t-shirt “Slave Two” comes printed on a black t-shirt and is currently available for purchase at Threadless.com for $19.50. The shirt comes in both guys and girls styles, sizes S-2XL.

The Beatles Yellow Submarine Print Set by Tom Whalen

The Beatles Yellow Submarine Print Set by Tom Whalen - Print 1 Standard and Pink Variant Editions

Dark Hall Mansion has done it again! This time DHM has teamed up with The Beatles’ Apple Corps and LiveNation to produce a beautiful set of Yellow Submarine screen prints by Tom Whalen. Does Whalen ever sleep!?! Tom’s output this past year has been incredible to say the least, and his work just keeps get better and better!

The Beatles Yellow Submarine Print Set by Tom Whalen - Print 2 Standard and Pink Variant Editions

Based on Yellow Submarine, the 1968 animated Beatles film, this officially licensed limited edition print Folio includes five 18”x24” Tom Whalen screen prints. Each print comes individually numbered, with the set housed within its own Folio protective case, also designed by Whalen, which bears the film’s classic Yellow Submarine and original 1968 film release date on its cover. This set is pretty amazing, especially when you consider this is the first time The Beatles have formally allowed a contemporary artist to reinterpret their classic film’s imagery within an art print format.

“Dreams in Focus - a Vinyl Toy & Photography Expo" presented by Vinyl Destination

Vinyl Destination presents “Dreams in Focus - a Vinyl Toy & Photography Expo”

Vinyl Destination, South Africa's favorite online designer vinyl toy store, is proud to announce its first custom toy show "Dreams In Focus". Not only is it Vinyl Destination’s first custom show, it is also South Africa's first custom toy show featuring a roster of 5 local South African artists and 5 international artists. This is a really unique show in that each artist will be customizing both a 4" toy and a Lomography camera, bringing together the wonderful world of designer vinyl and photography! The custom set will then be completed by an A4 1/1 print, which will make the result a fantastic 3 piece collectors set that fans from both the vinyl toy and photography scene would love to own.

Be sure to check out Vinyl Destination’s blog each day this week to find out the roster of South African artists involved with “Dreams In Focus,” and then head over to The Blot Says, Trampt, Clutter Magazine, ToysREvil, and SpankyStokes because each website will be announcing one of the international artists participating in the show exclusively on their blogs! The Blot is proud to be involved with the unveiling of this show, and I’m excited to announce that ViseONE, along with South African artist Brent Black, are the first two artists participating in “Dreams in Focus”!!!

If you’ve been following the designer toy scene at all then you’re definitely familiar with German artist ViseONE’s work! He’s been releasing amazing customs for years now, with fans salivating over his trademark “Comic Stripped” and “Tube Dunny” customs. I can only imagine what ViseONE’s got in store for “Dreams in Focus”! You can find out more about Brent Black by reading Vinyl Destination's bio of the artist here.

“Dreams in Focus” will take place throughout the month of July in Cape Town, South Africa at Exposure Gallery, with all proceeds from the show’s sales being donated to the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital. What a great event and a great cause!!!
