The Amazing Spider-Man Teaser Movie Posters

While all of these The Amazing Spider-Man teaser movie posters are pretty much the same, The Blot really likes them. There’s something to their vibrant coloring and strong images. Now I could do without these “battle damaged” Spider-Man images, but I love how prominent they’re displaying Spidey’s new web slingers! They actually look really cool.

The inclusion of artificial web slingers is (at least on the surface) one of the biggest differences between the original Spider-Man film trilogy and this new reboot. I know a lot of fans hated that Peter Parker was able to shoot webs naturally as part of the power set he received from that radioactive spider bite, but that never really bothered me all that much. In fact, I always thought it made more sense than this high school kid being able to design such high-tech equipment. Regardless, I respect the change back to reflect the source material and know a lot of diehard Marvel readers will too!

NYPD & LAPD Custom 8” Fatcaps by Sket One

It’s been a few months since we’ve seen a custom release by Sket One, and now we know why! Sket’s been hard at work on two different sets of fully functioning custom Fatcaps based on his NYPD Fatcap Series 2 design (which, ironically, was based on a 20” custom Fatcap he made in 2006). Since Sket has roots in both New York and Los Angeles, he decided to create two 10 piece runs repping both cities and their police forces!

Each NYPD and LAPD 8” custom Fatcap features a functioning police light that shines and rotates, includes a custom billy club and crash guard, and comes signed and numbered by the artist. How freaking awesome is that!?!? Both sets of customs go on sale this Friday, June 22nd, at 12pm EST at Sket’s official online store. This is definitely one release you will not want to sleep on!

The Sucklord Dunny Series 2012 Case Incentive Dunny

Late last week Clutter Magazine posted the first leaked image of the upcoming Sucklord case incentive 3” Dunny for Kidrobot’s new Dunny Series 2012! I hope this really is what The Sucklord’s first official Dunny will look like because I love the Star Wars bootleg feel of the design. A pink bootleg Vader head on a Stormtrooper-esque body; what more could you ask for!?! If this is legit, which I have every belief that it is, The Sucklord’s case incentive Dunny is a must get for The Blot! Hopefully someone buying a case or two will be willing to part with one.

Johnny Cupcakes Summer Essentials - Summer 2012 Collection

Last weekend Johnny Cupcakes released a huge batch of “Summer Essentials,” everything you could possibly need for a fun summer 2012. It’s been a while since JC released this much product at one time, but don’t think there’s any filler in the Summer 2012 Collection. Each piece is seriously cooler than the last. And The Blot loves all the diversity of this release…there’s everything from t-shirts and tank tops to five panel hats, flip flops, shorts and a Big Kid beach towel! While I love the Hot Dog 5 panel hat, my favorite design is The Allman Brothers Band tribute t-shirt “Eat a Cupcake” based on their 1972 album Eat a Peach. What a classic image!
