Breaking Bad Screen Print #9 - Emilio’s Disposal by Dave Perillo

Breaking Gifs Limited Edition Breaking Bad Screen Prints - Emilio’s Disposal by Dave Perillo

Emilio’s Disposal” by Dave Perillo is the ninth screen print in the Breaking Bad Alternate Reality Game Series released in honor of the hit AMC television show Breaking Bad’s fifth and final season. The Blot’s a little late reporting on this print by Perillo because it dropped while I was gone on a summer vacation, but it’s too good to ignore completely. For this print Perillo went all the way back to Breaking Bad’s pilot for one of the show’s seminal moments. When Walter and Jesse dispose of Emilio’s body in a vat of acid later in Episode 2 ("The Cat's In The Bag..."), the audience knows right away this show is going to be like any other.

Dave Perillo’s limited edition Breaking Bad screen print “Emilio’s Disposal” measures 18”x24”, has a run size of 300 pieces (only 200 available for purchase) and comes hand signed and numbered by the artist. The print retails for $50 each and could have been purchased here but it sold out immediately upon release.

To celebrate and honor the fifth and final season of Breaking Bad, 16 of the top artists and graphic designers have been commissioned to create screenprints depicting some of the series' most memorable scenes, characters and shocking moments for Gallery1988 and its Breaking Bad ARG, Breaking Gifs. These screenprints are hand-pulled, each its own individual work of art, in an edition of just 300, with only 200 available to the public through this project. Once the edition is sold out, they will never be printed again.

SDCC 12 Exclusive “Defective Comics” Batman Screen Print Set by Olly Moss

San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive “Defective Comics”Batman Screen Print Set by Olly Moss - Pizza Hut

San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive “Defective Comics”Batman Screen Print Set by Olly Moss - Jiffy Lube

Now The Blot doesn’t know all that much about these “Defective Comics” screen prints released by Olly Moss at San Diego Comic-Con 2012, but I love them nevertheless! Each print features a silhouette of the Dark Knight atop an all too familiar location: Pizza Hut and Jiffy Lube. Not exactly typical locations for Batman to be hunting his prey, but they make for excellent images from the king of screen prints. These sold out instantly this morning when they went on sale at Kevin Tong’s SDCC booth, but head to eBay where I’m sure you’ll be able to find more than a few up for sale at ridiculous prices.

SDCC 12 Exclusive LEGO Lord of the Rings Screen Print by Kevin Tong

San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive LEGO Lord of the Rings Screen Print by Kevin Tong

One print The Blot never saw coming from Mondo at San Diego Comic-Con was this LEGO Lord of the Rings screen print by Kevin Tong. LEGO’s giving its new line of LotR sets a huge push this summer (I guess to coincide with the soon to be released Hobbit movies?), and they look really nice and detailed. They’ll fit right in besides LEGO’s complicated Harry Potter and Star Wars sets. But these Lord of Rings LEGO sets now have something no other LEGO sets have ever had before…a screen print by the talented Tong! Sadly, this print sold out almost as instantly as it went on sale earlier this afternoon.

The San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive LEGO Lord of the Rings Screen Print by Kevin Tong measures 24”x36”, has a limited edition run size of 225 pieces and retailed for $40 at Mondo’s SDCC booth #437.

First Look: SDCC 12 Exclusive Mahakala 8” Dunny by Andrew Bell

Kidrobot - San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive Mahakala 8 Inch Dunny by Andrew Bell

Today at San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Kidrobot released what can only be assumed is the first colorway of Andrew Bell’s 8” Mahakala Dunny, and thanks to Kidrobot’s Instagram account we have our first look at this intricate figure! Is it just me or is this guy even cooler than Series 2012’s 3” Mahakalas (and those were pretty amazing in their own right). I love the color scheme of this figure, the 3” Dunny heads around its neck, and of course its spear accessory! And don’t even get me started on the four arms and Bell’s killer artwork on the packaging. If you were lucky enough to scoop up this SDCC 2012 exclusives earlier today The Blot congratulates you as this will make a great addition to anyone’s collection.

Dunny-sattvas take wrathful form when a gentler approach is not effective. Seemingly demonic, the Mahākāla deity is a stern protector. With his trident, he fights the poisons that blind – pride, lust, greed, and ignorance – and destroys those that hinder the knowledge of enlightenment. He has four arms, three eyes, and one fiery crown. Some compare him to death; others hail him as a glorious guard. All know him to be fierce. The 8-inch Mahākāla Dunny by Andrew Bell – wrathful in name, and protective in nature – is inspired by the Mahākāla character, ever present in ceremonies throughout the Himalayan region, originating with ancient Indian and Nepalese culture. Prosperity Edition is limited to 300 pieces, and rules with a trident accessory, extra set of articulated arms, and removable Dunny skull belt. Set to release at Kidrobot Booth #4529 at San Diego Comic Con for $100.

SDCC 12 Exclusive Marvel & DC Universe LEGO Mini Figures

San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive Marvel & DC Universe LEGO Mini Figures - Shazam (aka Captain Marvel & Venom

Once again LEGO will be at San Diego Comic-Con giving away FREE mini figures!!!! This year, however, it’ll be super hero and villain mini figures from both the Marvel and DC Comics universes! Today (while supplies last) LEGO will be giving away 1,000 mini figures of Marvel’s Phoenix and Venom, and DC’s Shazam (the former Captain Marvel) and Bizarro. All four figures look great, and these are going to FAST!

San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive Marvel & DC Universe LEGO Mini Figures - Good Phoenix (aka Jean Grey) & Bizarro

I think it’s great LEGO does this every year at SDCC now, but this last bit of news is kind of annoying due to how rare these figures are (and how expensive they will be on the secondary market). According to LEGO, these figures will not be included in any future sets. Now does that mean we won’t ever see a Jean Grey as the Dark Phoenix mini figure down the road? Probably not, but if you do want a “good” Phoenix or a Shazam LEGO mini figure then you’d better get in touch with someone at Comic-Con STAT! Speaking of which, if anyone grabs an extra Shazam/Captain Marvel LEGO mini figure…hook a brother up!

Yesterday’s big San Diego Comic-Con 2012 exclusive from Kidrobot was this awesome Cyborg Labbit by Chuckboy and man does it look awesome! Just check out this pic from Kidrobot’s Instagram account. Chuckboy’s Cyborg Dunny is definitely one of the most popular 3” release from the past few years (I swear I see a new custom of it every single day), and this Labbit will make an excellent companion for it. Cheers to everyone that picked up this 7” Labbit today at SDCC.

Only 300 survived the mutation, but that’s why Labbits boink like they do – to survive! With a sudden cigarette shortage, it was time to take drastic and evolutionary action. Enter sexy technology, boasting the ability to smork non-stop without wasting time trying to light up without opposable thumbs. After one sweaty night at the Silicon Valley Motel, the Cyborg Labbit Excelsiors were born. 7-inch vinyl labbits with a tip that never cools, and a butthole that’s always charged – now that’s a hybrid.
