Threadless Star Wars T-Shirt “Chewy”

It’s been a really long time since The Blot featured a Threadless pop culture t-shirt here at TheBlotSays.com, and it’s kind of a shame. Truth is they have so many great designs these days it takes a really exceptional one to get my attention. Take this pretty funny Star Wars t-shirt “Chewy”, which features Chewbacca as a stick of gum. Not only does the piece of bubble gum look just like Chewy, but if you look closely his belt is actually made out of a foil gum wrapper. Pure genius if you ask me!

Brandon Lee “The Crow” Custom Dragon King by kaNO

Yesterday, when kaNO dropped the photo above onto his Instangram account The Blot’s jaw hit the ground. A Brandon Lee “The Crow” custom Dragon King is just about the most perfect custom I could ever think of for kaNO’s popular Bruce Lee inspired vinyl figure. As you probably remember, Bruce’s son Brandon was fatally wounded during the filming of The Crow, a film based on the indie comic by James O’Barr. What better way to pay tribute to both Lees than with this beautiful The Crow custom Dragon King.

According to kaNO, he posted the photo to gage interest in a run of custom The Crow Dragon Kings. Well with 30 comments and almost 150 likes on Instagram, I’d say this piece definitely speaks to a large number of people in our little corner of the art world. But if you’re seriously about adding a beautiful piece like this to your collection, definitely shoot kaNO an email and let him know!

The Dark Knight Rises New Era Hat Collection

Now this is the New Era Summer 2012 Movie Collection The Blot’s been waiting for!!! For its fourth wave of movie inspired hats New Era is teaming up with Warner Bros. to release The Dark Knight Rises Collection! This eight hat collection includes snapbacks and fitted caps featuring Batman, Bane and The Dark Knight Rises’ logo. Surprisingly, there’s no hat featuring Anne Hathaway's Catwoman. I mean who doesn’t want to wear a hat featuring Hathaway prominently on it? Oh wait…nevermind.

The Dark Knight Rises premieres in theaters this Thursday, July 20th, but before then you can pick up any of the hats in The Dark Knight Rises New Era Cap Collection seen here in the New Era online store and retail locations worldwide for between $24.99-36.99.
