Smoke Edition & Grape Edition Resin Mini Mad'ls by MAD

While I was out of town earlier this month MAD dropped not one but two new colorways of his extremely popular 3” resin Mini Mad’ls. I'm sad to admit between that two week trip and San Diego Comic-Con 2012 coverage, I'm still playing catch up. The seventh colorway was this beautiful grey tint Smoke Edition Mini Mad’l, while the eighth colorway was this rich and regal purple Grape Edition Mini Mad’l.

Only 20 figures of each colorway were created, with the entire run sold exclusively at MAD’s online store for $50 each. Every figure comes packaged in a custom gift box, which includes a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity. Unfortunately for The Blot, each colorway sold out immediately upon release. The only question now is what color is coming up next!?!

ONI Custom GID 10” Mad’ls by MAD

After finding a couple of blank glow in the dark green 10" Mad’ls laying around the office, MAD took a break from the computer to throw some serious ink on them. He’s been working on some different Oni style monsters lately, and thought they'd work well on the GID base. MAD created two distinct one of a kind ONI monsters for this release, a bad ass Dragon and Demon. Each figure was hand drawn/painted by MAD and then coated with a matte finish over the artwork to protect it.

Breaking Bad Screen Print #12 - Jane by Frank Kozik

“Jane” by Frank Kozik is the twelfth screen print in the Breaking Bad Alternate Reality Game Series released in honor of the hit AMC television show Breaking Bad’s fifth and final season. I have to say, with these last few releases this series is really taking off! I love Frank Kozik’s concert posters and this print is pure Kozik, from the colors and the text, to the layering effects and textures. I love its retro feel and have a strong suspicion both Kozik and Breaking Bad fans are going to go nuts over this print.

To celebrate and honor the fifth and final season of Breaking Bad, 16 of the top artists and graphic designers have been commissioned to create screenprints depicting some of the series' most memorable scenes, characters and shocking moments for Gallery1988 and its Breaking Bad ARG, Breaking Gifs. These screenprints are hand-pulled, each its own individual work of art, in an edition of just 300, with only 200 available to the public through this project. Once the edition is sold out, they will never be printed again.

“The Lily Of The Valley” by Phantom City Creative is the tenth screen print in the Breaking Bad Alternate Reality Game Series released in honor of the hit AMC television show Breaking Bad’s fifth and final season. I didn’t realize until today that I never posted anything about this beautiful print featuring one of the show’s most impactful players, which is really saying something considering it’s a plant! I love this striking image on a simple white background so much I think it’s safe to say it is The Blot’s favorite Breaking Gifs print released to date. It’s also one of only two in this series I would definitely hang on my walls.

The Dark Knight Rises Final IMAX Movie Poster

Happy Batman Day!!! We’ve finally arrived to the world premiere of The Dark Knight Rises and The Blot’s pretty excited. Didn’t it seem like July 20th would never come? Well last night The Blot, along with millions of people around the country (and possibly the globe), filed into their local movie theaters for midnight screenings of Christopher Nolan’s final Batman film. Don’t worry, no spoilers here. I actually wrote this before heading to see the movie knowing there was no way I was writing anything once learning it had a 2 hour and 45 min run time. I did see it in IMAX though, so I thought showcasing the film’s final IMAX one sheet movie poster appropriate.

The Dark Knight Rises in now in theaters everywhere…go see it today, tonight or this weekend. If not, come Monday you’ll probably be one of the only people who hasn’t.
