Yesterday, Sunday, April 21st, Tenacious Toys released the fourth wave of Task One’s Pillaging Pop Culture Series featuring The Muppets! This new blind box series is a tribute to today's lowbrow artists who are pillaging icons from our childhood to sell art. Task One does it again by transforming our favorite characters into incredibly detailed custom vinyl figures.
Each wave of Task One’s Pillaging Pop Culture Series will consist of 3 Muppets characters, and Wave 4 includes The Swedish Chef, Statler and Waldorf (see the first 3 waves here)! These blind boxed custom hand painted figures will retail for $40 each or $100 for all 3 designs in a wave exclusively at the Tenacious Toys online store. Tenacious Toys will also make available a limited number of full sets. This way a collector can ensure they’ll receive the entire Pillaging Pop Culture Series of 18 figures plus chase for $600.
But wait, that’s not all! Task One and Tenacious Toys will also be giving out a free custom Crazy Harry chase figure (not an official part of the 18 piece set) that will be rewarded to 2 lucky orders each wave. Plus, anyone who purchases the full set will automatically receive this free chase as well.
