Yesterday, Mondo announced a new collaboration with Marvel Comics to produce a series of screen prints featuring the heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe! Pretty awesome right!?! This will give Mondo a chance to spotlight characters and events not featured in the Marvel films. Since The Blot prefers the comic book universe to the movie universe, these releases are right up my alley. I can’t wait until Mondo releases screen prints of the Infinite Gauntlet or Atlantis Attacks.
The first release in the Marvel Comics x Mondo Screen Print Series is “The Silver Surfer” by Kilian Eng. This space set image is pretty striking don’t you think!?! Can’t wait to see what else Mondo has in store for us. “The Silver Surfer” is a 36”x24” hand numbered screen print and has a limited edition run size of 275 pieces. It will go on sale at a random time today, Thursday, October 10th, at the Mondo online store for $50 each.
