To kick off their new line of Star Wars Hikari vinyl figures, Funko is releasing this really fun (and metallic) “Original” Greedo Hikari. The Blot is calling it now, this line is going to be huge for Funko!!! While a sofubi vinyl figure of the galaxy’s most famous Rodian bounty hunter doesn’t really excite me, the line will soon be expanded to include Hikari figures of Darth Vader, C-3PO, Boba Fett, Bossk, a Clone Trooper, a Stormtrooper, and the vicious Wampa. Rumor has it that many of these figures will be released in 2015 too. Talk about flooding the market! That being said, it’s going to be really hard for me to resist buying all of the different Boba Fett Hikari Funko releases.
Hikari, meaning “light”, is a highly collectible line of clear/translucent figures cast in soft Japanese vinyl. Each “Original” Greedo Premium Hikari vinyl figure stands 8” tall, includes a hand numbered card to prove authenticity and rarity, and comes packaged in a full color window box perfect for display. Limited to 2,000 pieces, this Star Wars Hikari vinyl figure is not expected to hit store shelves until February 2015, but you can pre-order one now at Entertainment Earth for $79.99 here.
