It turns out they’re not just releasing one San Diego Comic-Con 2015 Exclusive “Droids” Animated Jumbo Vintage Kenner Star Wars Action Figure…they’re dropping two! Along with the “Droids” R2-D2, Gentle Giant has unveiled this beautiful “Droids” Edition Boba Fett 12” Jumbo Vintage Figure. It’s just unfortunately that back in 1985 the Droids Animated Boba Fett was just a reissue of their original Boba figure – meaning this is pretty much just a re-release of their previous Boba Fett Jumbo Vintage Figure with new packaging. The Blot would kill for an “Animated” accurate colorway of everyone’s favorite bounty hunter.
In 1985, everyone’s favorite protocol droid and astromech droid starred in their very own animated TV series. Star Wars: Droids featured R2-D2 and C-3PO on their early adventures that took place before Episode IV: A New Hope. Now 30 years later this epic cartoon and toy line are getting the jumbo treatment by Gentle Giant! Digitally scanned from mint 3¾” Kenner originals and reproduced to a whopping 12” scale, the “Droids” Animated Boab Fett Jumbo Vintage Kenner Star Wars action figure by Gentle Giant is an exact replica of the classic Droids toy!
Injection molded and made of durable plastics, this jumbo figure even includes a jumbo replica of the coin that came with the original figure, features original articulation, and comes packaged on a Star Wars Droids inspired blister card (featuring original photos and artwork) with a plastic outer clam shell to help protect and display this awesome action figure.
