Luke Chueh is heading to Hawaii next weekend for Giant Robot Day at the Honolulu Museum of Art Contempo Art Shop and he’s taking an extra special print release with him. The Contempo Art Shop is an exciting, innovative 10 day art event taking over the Honolulu Museum of Art Spalding House next week, and will feature art by local and international up-and-comers, mid-career trailblazers, and established masters. Giant Robot will be hosting a pop up shop on June 20th, but Luke will be there all weekend with his fantastic The Rat painting, which features Luke’s infamous bear character being straddled by a rat.
In honor of the event, Giant Robot will be releasing a vibrant 11”x14” print of “The Rat.” This signed and numbered print is limited to just 100 pieces and will retail for $65. A portion of this run will be a Hawaii exclusive and will only be sold in person at the Honolulu Museum of Art. The remainder of the print’s run will be released at a later date.
