While The Blot doesn’t typically blog about subsequent variant print releases, I love Brian Ewing’s new Foil Variant of his “Detective Comics #776” Batman Screen Print (originally seen here) so much I had to write about it! Doesn’t it make his artwork just pop even more than normal!?! If you’re not familiar with this officially licensed Batman design, it was originally created by Ewing to be used as the cover of DC Comics’ Detective Comics #776 back in 2003. It features Batman in his signature blue and grey costume (The Blot’s personal favorite) showing off his detective skills with a magnifying glass in hand.
The “Detective Comics #776” Foil Variant Batman Screen Print by Brian Ewing measures 18”x24” and comes signed and numbered by the artist. Limited to just 5 pieces, this super limited variant is currently available for purchase at the Brian Ewing online store for $100 each.
