It is hard to believe it’s finally opening weekend of Suicide Squad! The Blot feels like I’ve been talking about and waiting for the release of this DC Comics film forever. I’m still excited to see it on Saturday, but the movie’s generally negative reviews are seriously bumming me out. I had high hopes that Suicide Squad would do for the DC movie universe what Guardians of the Galaxy and Deadpool did for the Marvel and X-Men movie universes respectively. I do freaking love this insane pop-tastic final theatrical one sheet movie poster for the film. Even if Suicide Squad the movie isn’t any good, Warner Bros did a great job marketing the film.
Suicide Squad is set to open in theaters on August 5, 2016, and stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jared Leto as The Joker, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Cara Delevingne as The Enchantress, Adam Beach as Slipknot, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, Karen Fukuhara as Katana and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
